rFactor 2 Build 1036 Now Available!

    Update 36 of rFactor 2 is Build 1036. This includes a number of fixes and tweaks as we continue to further refine the product.

    Installers:

    Lite - 322MB
    Demo - 882MB
    SDK/Mod Dev - 355MB

    Steam users will obviously update/install through Steam. You should not use these installers.

    Build Notes:

    FEATURES:
    -------------
    - Made the pit menu wing adjustments use the same display value as the garage.

    FIXES:
    -------------
    - Fixed idiot light when vehicle rev limit is smaller while in neutral.
    - Attempted fix for laps sometimes being lost on a race rejoin.
    - Fixed a crash when starting ded server if borderless mode was previously selected
    - Fixed a problem where the wrong port was used to tell Steam friends about the server you are on.
    - Removed the condition that only non-demos can change the opponent list.
    - Fix for "join as spectator" problem.
    - PLR value "MULTI Safety Car Collidable" (used for multiplayer) now works; previously only "GPRIX Safety Car Collidable" (used for single player) was fixed.
    - Fixed occasional 'missing gears' problem.

    MODDING / PUBLIC DEV:
    ---------------------
    - Increased size of some mas2 dialogs
    - Added a confirmation before deleting all waypoints in mod mode.
    - Added delete next/prev to selected waypoint menu.
    - Changed "delete branch" to only require single waypoint selected.
    - Slightly raised the line showing where the AI is aim to make it more likely to be above the track surface.

    WOOOOHO! Downloading!

    Steam doesn't initiate downloading. Tried restarting steam but nothing yet. Will wait a bit more.

    This build seems to be aimed for endurance leagues mainly.

    Is it the last build of the year or will we get another one before Christmas or New Year's Eve (we had new builds around new year's eve and even cars like Civic if I remember correctly. :p)

    You've mentioned weather being reworked and I was kinda hoping to see it in this build but every bug fix is very welcomed. :)

    Talking about steam update or weather? :p You just love answering my questions and leave me as puzzled (or more) than before asking. Don't tell me it's too easy to wind me up. I already know that! xD

    Strange. Steam finally updated, I thought, but my launcher still says 1028.

    *EDIT* Finally updated. All is good.

    Just for the info. I checked the current installation on steam on misstakes (litteral translation from german) and am downloading the update now.

    EDIT: 66.5 MB download, current build 1036 :)

    Server PC non Steam:

    One or more critical simulation files failed verification.
    C:/Users/WhiteShadow/Documents/rFactor2/Installed/Vehicles/Clio_PC/1.0/clio_pc.mft failed verification.


    Game PC Steam:

    rFactor2 Content Inventory @ des. 10 2015 00.20.57
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Component "Sebring_Virtua_LM 2.02" failed to verify, removed from inventory.

    Both after clean install of rFactor2.

    Used the launcher to update (non-steam) and it went smoothly as ever. :)

    Hi.
    I have rfactor2 on Steam.. When I run rf2 with steam, it automatic update to build 1036... I could play on servers with build 1028???

    Does that mean that now Steam players as-well as non-steam ones all show up on the # of players count in the server list?

    It was difficult playing online in B1028 because servers would show 0 players even though I was always with a friend (2 of us) and therefore noone would every join...

    GTR server says 3 people so I was like screw it, I'm playing a different game. My friend Tanto joins, and messages me and says there's actually 7 people so I join.

    Wow...Can't believe this is still happening. If you're a Steam user, it's almost impossible to get a online room/server going since it will report as 0 players and therefore also be buried in the list of servers.

    Hello,
    just updated my server through steam cmd, and this is what i get even launching 32 or 64 bits.
    Before update the server was running and nothing is changed.

    ¿Any way to solve it?

    rFactor2 crash. Faulting module: SteamPlugin.dll
    Operating system: windows 2008 server

    The same with another server but this second one only have ISI content installed and dont have liveracers (like the first one) or other plugins. This second server its a basic server.

    Steam update kill our servers.

    We are talking about the steam players here not being included in the non steam match maker player count. I have asked about this a couple of times already, I asked if it is this way deliberately (ie for some strange legal or technical reason) or if it could be fixed in future, but no response. If spinelli is right and now no change in a 2nd build I guess this will never be fixed, or cannot be fixed, would that be correct? Thanks.
