I was actually a little confused and sad to see the thread being locked from the first post but I guess Tim has had enough of all the bitching and whinging no matter what ISI do... it would seem no matter what they do there`s always complaining which is pretty sad imo.

I really like the gear shifting animation. Also driver hands look alive. They seem to have feet animation too.

These things would make rf2 even more immersive. I hope we get at least shifting animation at some point.

 

I saw enough with the collision at 33 secs lol Got refunded my toolpack weeks ago, Its not progressing the way I thought it would and isn't going to be a sim IMO although I will reserve full judgement when its released and may take another look at it.
Graphics are getting better and better with each build in rF2 and I couldn't say the same for physics in pCARS.
As for animations in the cockpit, personally I don't use standard cockpit view as I have a cockpit built outside of the sim with gauges etc, I always found it weird seeing 2 wheels, 2 shifters, 4 hands ( 1 real 1 on screen etc ) In a perfect view I would have just the top of the dashboard and windscreen in tintops and the wind deflector, nose and tires in Open wheelers but it always poses a problem with mirrors.

I completely agree with you. This would make the greatest racing sim ever.

 

For sure the collision and physics are not good enough maybe only for the momment. I'm only dreaming of a game with the graphics of Pcars and the physic of RF2.

But just take a look at 3min10 and see the grip handling of the car, you'll see that they greatly improve the tyre physic and they are going they way to make a great simrace.

 

A shifting animation would make a best racing sim ever... ? srsly?
Btw I am more than happy with rF2s current graphics, it also depends what car r u looking at as there are some older cars like megane that does not look as good as the new ones like the Corvette. Also bare in mind that u need to look at what track are u at with the same thinking. I personally find combination of Corvette on some VLM track with HDR well set better looking than these effect flooded mainstreams.

Please don't seems to be more stupid than you are. obviously more graphic details add to the immersion. Glad to hear you'r happy with graphics but for those who have more than a 4 years old computer a lot of enhancement is needed. Nex gen computeur need nex gen graphics.
