We need Imola Track....!!!!!
No, i am not talking about engine or gearshift sound. I mean that gear whine sound.
Normaly at full throttle you get a steady increasing, loud gear whine and not such a pulsating one like in the video.
Such an irregularly gear whine, which you can hear actually in the video under full throttle condition, mostly occur around idle throttle.
Here a little example.
Sometimes I have a feeling that graphic wise we are playing two different games. I'm playing on all max details but it just looks kinda different.. What time of day is set in video? Any hdr profiles used?
It does sound like the lift and the acceleration sounds coming from the gearbox are wrong way.
Kinda hard to hear but should point out the mistake in the mod.
These were just a few laps out of a race i did. But my settings below. I only have Toschs "No autoexposure" being used and presuming you do not have this car? Try and remember that no car until now has looked as good as this does in the cockpit. Even with rF2's wonky shaders the cockpit detail in this is pretty damn good.
Race start time - 3.30pm
Time scale - x15
So around 4 or 5 laps into these settings you will get the same visuals as these in the video minus the car obviously
but better show a 2012 DTM car as an example.
and here a nice(loud) gearbox example:
the stuttering should be when deaccellerating not accelerating.
//Edit: maybe not when deaccellerating but when stepping off the throttle very fast.
ISI sound department, get your thinking caps on, this is causing me extreme pleasure.
First lap with the R8 Gordini at the Green Hell!
Where did you get the new version of this car? (hands, cockpit and new sounds... apparently physics too). Also, are you using real head movement plugin?
How did you get rid of that yellowish windscreen?
I simply don't have it!
Nice! I like the emotion..
Damn.. rF2's gonna be the most complete simulator to date Think of lemans, daytona, old spa, classic cars etc.. damn.. it's gonna be good
Maybe... but when?
You need to consider that after one year we still have artificial real road evolution rate and non-working tyre wear - and these are obviously important aspects of proper LeMans race simulation.
So how long before we have the absolute minimum features to have a good 24h race? One more year?
How long before we can call rFactor 2 "complete" in terms of just road racing? Another year?
This will be pretty much the point when I will consider rF2 a "finished" product that will evolve further on (new stuff like racing on dirt, snow, ice, point to point racing, rally, oval racing, etc.).
I'm in for lifetime so it's all the same to me. I'm just saying you should not get ahead of yourself with excitement
Well, I'm not at all.. I mean, I don't even have time for simracing at the moment, and not even in a while. So why do I even care? Well, I have always liked simracing since I first started with it, using GP2. Every now and then I look back at where we were physics, graphics, gameplaywise.. I indeed get excited when I imagine simracing through coming years. I can't even imagine where we would be 10 years from now.
So as you can see, I get excited but it's just something that takes time. I've got time just like you.. But every now and then, when I see an epic movie of rF2 showing the potential.. I get all warmed up for the future
AAh sorryx wrong topic!
Nive video btw
Here's another video by me
Where is the ferrari available for download?!?!
