Any kind of aids used on that lap? Your car looks insanely stable in direction changes and braking, and for the most part, under throttle XD
Any tips for setup?

Only way I can match your time is with the stability control on low. Without, my best is 7.07.XXX
 
I agree, it is shockingly stable, as if it's done in race07, either he has a very special setup that makes this car easy to handle, or it has aids on :)

But i do wonder - what aids would this car have in real life? I still extremely dislike the rf2 doesn't give you the aids of the real car and just basic options hidden in a menu.
 
Ok, I wouldnt call it unrealistic. If he was able to go just that bit quicker through each corner, over a 20km lap, you possibly could see something like that kind of laptime difference. Either through a great setup that suits him, or with the aids on.

I run a slightly modified default setup; gears, brakes, less camber. That is about the limits of my tuning capability though XD. It could be setup. However, no data or stats being shown in the vid sadly, dunno why people leave that out XD
 
Ps: I have to say the I have done that time with the old version of the Ring! maybe with the new version that is smoother I could go faster..maybe!
 
Just got the Corvette round in 7.05.2, no aids, with basic setup tweaks. I did have a couple of slight mistakes though. I'd probably err on the side of it being a bloody great setup in the Camaro, with a great driver behind the wheel XD

Cheers bud, I will have a looksy tomorrow. 12am here, so I'm done for the time being XD

My old Camaro time was from the previous bumpy version of the track, went out with the Camaro now and got to a 7.05.089, with a proper big mistake near the end of the lap. Ran wide, out onto grass and then trundled back on track and continued. So the new track version saw me drop near 2.5-3 seconds at least, even with a mistake.
Maybe this setup will give me some ideas or something, we'll see.

Hilarious, seems like I have a 7.05.XXX curse, 3 different cars (Megane, Corvette, Camaro) and all my best times for them are in the 7.05.XX range XD

Ash, I've been following you on RF2 rank for a while, and hoped to see you do some laps as your times are outstanding in most cases. Do you have anything uploaded anywhere, I'd love to see the Corvette time especially?

Haha, gee thats nice to hear I guess haha. I'd say there are many who are quicker though XD
Yep, I've put two laps online so far, they're on the youtube channel "Minibull037".
I get free upload with my ISP, so I can get a nords lap up for you. I'm a bit embarrassed with it though, as I bottle the lap with the Corvette at the end XD

It also depends on what you do with steering wheel setup

Sven, recording replays always looks like you have aids on, it's missing sounds (tires especially) and the inputs all look 'robotic' Hopefully they are close to addressing this somewhat. I've been trying live capture as per this upload, but the old PC is not up to 1080p, even 720p isn't high quality ;\

Ash, can't wait to see it so I can compare, side by side. I went back to the default setup as you mentioned that's what you're using and knocked off 2 seconds from mine (Got a 7.12 earlier with it)
