Honestly figured my dream of ever racing classic Spa and Monaco (AC has Monza) in VR was dead. Such a wonderful surprise:)

On a semi-related note, finally got around to installing Revive yesterday and was positively shocked at how amazing Assetto Corsa is with the Vive. Spent a lot of time with AC and the DK2, but with the Vive's crystal clear optics, larger FOV, and significantly brighter screens, I was amazed by how radically better it is now. The only thing that's ever come close to shocking my senses like that was when I played Daytona USA or Super GT in the arcade for the first time.

What am I missing? Is my browser blocking something? At the bottom it says: Buy now on Steam.

There's a section with 3 scrollable parts and one of them mentions HTML stuff

I see it now. I think I was blinded with euphoria after seeing the Oculus/Vive support confirmed.

Still, I don't see that as necessarily bad. They're still linking to Steam to buy. The front end stuff, honestly, could use work anyways. So I don't think it has to be a bad thing.

thats good news. really really good news. i had given up completely on rf2 due to the lack of vr support and have done all my racing for 2 years with iracing since then.
but the day rf2 finally really adds vr support i will be joining back in to my old league in a heartbeat.

very exciting and great news all around.

All I need now is single-player championship support and I'll never need another race sim.

Lots of pretty good guessing! I think this is an awesome step forward. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Yes, and if they bring the same benefits to rF2 as they have to AMS and Reiza, we will all be very, very happy.

This is 100% good news from my perspective.

But just for the steam move, isn`t it? More in that direction how the structure of the files should be for steam etc. and not on the core, physics or graphics.

I plan on getting vive in 2017. I was concerned I would prefer to race assetto corsa due to vr support. Now I can happily continue racing the sim I find the most pleasurable and rewarding.

I am curious why they stopped at dx11 and did not aim for dx12 or Vulcan. I dont know the technical side of it so I dony know if it is simply not possible.

DX11, 12 or 9 is not important, I always use pCars example when it was DX9 and it used to look as stunning as DX11 mode, maybe a bit of performance increase.

Really looking forward at rain improvements, the current weather visuals and physics are not at the same level of the rest of the rF2.

    Woah, ISI!

This commitment to rF2 is fantastic to see. My favourite sim by far so couldn't be happier.

DX versions are locked to certain Windows versions. DX12 for example is Windows 10 only. A huge portion of sim racers are vocally against 10 and Microsoft's approach, their spy and report functionality that is almost impossible to permanently disable (updates re-enable the "features"). Personally I am using 10 and have a good DX12 capable graphics card.
