    That will be interesting.
Pace wise and whether they have taken any travel sickness pills for their trip from iRacing.

I don't want to be an ass hat but the DLC didn't bring the new players either as suggested by some people on the forum. XD

I just watched the ISRTV stream.
IMO he gets some credit for putting it out there in his first session. Didnt hide from the reality.
Lap time best was a 2:04.3

In AC with each DLC that they throw doubles the number of players. From 2,000 to 4,000 approximately, sometimes more sometimes less. In rF2 the increase has been about 30% (150 players).

The answer of the low numbers is nothing more than the response of the community to the "great" work that S397 has done so far.
Buy rF2 on the day the disastrous buid49 came out, buy 2 more copies of the live version was rF2 is released in steam, but I have not bought this DLC and I will not buy any for the moment.

In my case everything I've achieved since S397 is in control has been no reward for my support of rF2 from the first day, a great performance drop in DX11, when it was already bad in DX9, and some cars that you bored at 3 laps of the little that punish the bad conduction.

Hopefully better times will come and we will have real reason to support them.

If you look at the absolute numbers, they have not increased much, but in relative terms, rF2 is not so far behind. rF2 overtook Raceroom and is now third most played race sim on Steam after Assetto and pCars. Even pCars and Assetto have lost players last months, whereas rF2 not so much (Steam charts).

AC goes up a lot when a DLC comes out and then goes undetected until the next one is released. If you look at the monthly AC Avg. the numbers are incredible for about two years. Up and up and up ... Currently 1500 avg. Players for 350 in rF2.

Since rF2 is only on Steam and all players are counted the growth has been zero. In the same period the AC player base grew by 15%.

Numbers could be much better in rF2 if the 650s had been released for free. #WFG was a great opportunity for many people who have forgotten the game would have tried again or that many others bought it taking advantage of the offer, but who is going to pay again to try a game that disappointed them at the time and that almost everyone speaks badly?

That's because they got half a milion owners in Steam while rF2 gets like 55k. Sex.. I mean.. pretty graphics helps to sell. If AC didn't get 2k players online with that much owners Kunos should close the studio lol
Again: one car alone won't make miracles. The future work may do.

Inb4 uses RR misleading numbers caused by "free to play" base game

Plugin crashed here first time, restarted, loaded and was booted (have checked steam plugin=1).
Now plugin (presumably) is crashing on the desktop.
This after spending sometime looking for a way to join the game on the forum.
All in all 2 hours wasted but remain optimistic a guide with troubleshooting will appear somewhere on this forum.

The half-million copies sold of AC have not been by magic. The game was released later than rF2 and the number of players was very similar at that time, it would not surprise me that at first rF2 would have had even more regular players than AC.

The main difference is that Kunos knew how to sell his product very well and ISI could not do worse. The commercialization and development of rF2 was a disaster from the first day and today the results can be seen. 500,000 copies sold from AC vs. 60,000 ?? Of rF2. 1.500 avg. Players in AC vs. 350 in rF2.

As you say only future work may do a miracle and hopefully we can see it one day, but for much work to be done if the marketing is still the same .....

Kunos sold on hype and hopes lol, at release AC was behind rFactor 1 on simulation, heck I bet F1C was more advanced, but it had pretty graphics and promises of popular cars so peoplle didn't care. I'm pretty sure they sold more copies than rF2 even in early access (I sure was sold on taht hype as I joined it in EA), AC right now is what I expected to be at release.
And yes, rF2 path was a disaster all the way. ISI could lead simracing in every aspect if they had more vision but they focused so much on physics alone, especially a tire model nobody understands or cares despite being the best available, that they stayed behind on everything else and having only one strong point nowadays is not enough. IMO rF2 by now should be something ahead of what PC2 is doing (on features), and have a system similar to iRacing or at least Live Racers. ISI did had the time for it, not funds, but time yes and if they did do it properly they'd probably have the funds too as the community would have embraced a game like that a lot more than they did with rF2. Just my 2 cents.
And again yes... expecting one car to make miracles is beyond stupidity, future work may help it.

Perfectly explained. Some enthusiasts will still get to find something positive about this.

Have you tried having steam open at the forefront of your desktop (i.e steam not minimised)? A steam dialog box that needs okaying should appear, if Steam is minimised you can get the outer contour of the box as your image shows.

    Wow.
You think RF2 can be developed and be competitive on the market just on the purchase price of the sim?
ISI apparently thought so and look what happened.
