I was wondering if ISI/rF2 had any plans to do dirt build-up with tear-offs, as this would be part of the rain-effect in a way. I come from the Oval Dirt Racing side of rF1, and would love to see the ability to have dirt fly on your screen, and have a limited amount of Tear-Off's to be programmed. Ratbag had this effect perfected pretty well back in the day of DTR/DTR2 and DTRSC.

I am really hoping to hear some news on the dirt side of things with rFactor2, but don't want to post that info in this thread.

I think it looks incredible, but then again, it's a screen shot.

Looks great, however, he says without having looked around too much, is the weather going to be dynamic/changeable through an event if selected?

Ahh DTR - That was one of my first racing titles and favorite of the era. Gjon feel free to borrow some things from these guys. I'm really looking forward to the dirt side of rFactor.

What would be cool was if a car was in front of you be it in the rain or dry, if it ran onto the grass it would then throw some dirt/grass onto the windscreen which would turn the wet windscreen dirty until the wipers wiped it off.

Love this idea. Also, i wonder if there is variable rain, like drizzle that doesnt affect grip, to extreme monsoon rain that you cant see 20 feet infront of you.

    Sure!!!
but I hope at least we will have some dirt on tyres and reduced grip for some time when going outside the track...Even F1 2010 has it (graphically al least) but rF1 no;hope to see some improvement in this way

As soon as we can. The issue was that the effect wasn't finished, then when it was, something else being worked on made the rain effect not look as it should, so things haven't aligned properly to make it happen yet. :) ASAP though, ASAP.

Seeing as southern England is grinding to a halt because of a good few inches of snow....what about a Snow video? if it exists in the sim of course :p

It has been interesting to see what the Brits are getting. Growing up there I don't think it snowed much at all and even rarely fell below freezing, this is now two winters in a row that have seen massive amounts of snow. And no, I don't see snow making it into the sim, but possibly some bright individual out there could create some kind of ice racing by making a dirt mod into an ice mod. :)
