All of a sudden rF2 will not launch. Using my desktop shortcut it quickly shows me "Preparing to launch rF2...." the little white square with rF2 in it shows up for a few seconds and then goes away. When trying to launch from Steam I get a black square with the rotating blue circle for a few seconds and then it goes away. When launching from within the program I get this message: rF2 is attempting to start with the optional parameters show below. Then in yellow it says: "+path=".." +workshop sync" then it says, If you did not request this launch or do not understand these options select cancel. Since I do not understand those options I select cancel and everything goes away. What the heck is going on?

Unfortunately that didn't fix my problem. Getting some help from other sources so hopefully this will get fixed.

It's possible that you have a corrupted file in your profile.
Move your ..\rFactor 2\UserData\ folder to another place (to have a backup).
    And run rF2.
This will create a new UsetData folder.
If this works you'll have to config rF2 again.

Most of the time you don't need to remove the entire player folder, you can just remove the config_dx11.ini. But if that didn't work, then I would try the entire folder.

I agree @88mphTim , but sometimes is due to a corrupted json.
Then the quickest and easiest way is to remove the whole dir.
But it's the most radical too

Glad to see you, again, more active here in the forum Tim :)

Which error? This is your first post in this thread.

Are you getting the "attempting to launch with optional parameters" message? That's a steam one, if you google it you will find all sorts of potential solutions - restarting steam, setting steam to run as admin, NOT setting it to run as admin, etc, etc, etc.

Did you do anything else mentioned in this thread, like the runtimes? More info is better...
