rF2 Tyre Selection

    I've searched the forums and found a few topics on this but nothing that fully clarifies what's needed to provide a mod with a selection of tire compounds and to then ensure the human driver under AI control, doesn't swap hard to wet at a pit stop in dry racing conditions.

    The HDV determines the .tbc file to use via TireBrand setting, but I can see that the upgrades.ini can override this. In the upgrade.ini file what determines what tire compound equates to what value in TireCompoundMap?

    Is it simply the order in the .tbc file (1st = 0, 2nd = 1, etc) or are there set orders for placing compounds?

    Yes.

    Wets and Intermediates have this value defined, the higher it is, the wetter is has to be for AI to 'prefer it'. I'm no expert in AIs though, never really use them or work with them.

    Examples...
    Inters: WetWeather=0.75
    Wets: WetWeather=1
