https://www.studio-397.com/2024/12/...At-ZUBPRKI8scbRitQ_aem_6XTMWEccptiYhjsOkadjBg Finally There is a flat 25% off all individual cars & tracks
More like again, individual stuff was also 25% in the Autumn Sale which ended earlier this month. https://www.studio-397.com/2024/11/autumn-sale-deals-now-live/
And I told myself I didn’t need the handful of things I don’t have, including the GT3 Ferrari that still runs the older physics. Now, knowing the Ferrari won’t be available from Jan, and having let the sale go without the other things… I probably won’t be able to help myself this time
I have 0% of interest in a game (an RF2 with some slight improvement) with only modern wec cars with no modding support
That's fair enough. But calling LMU a slight improvement is not accurate imho. The sim is Le Mans which it can run, save and load full 24 hour races Something rF2 is simply incapable of.
I was planning to buy the Complete Pack this sale , mostly because I didn’t have Le mans track and the two Ferraris( that won’t be available to buy next year) , despite having most of the DLC. Was hoping the price would be the same (as the Black Friday sale) , but now it’s only 60% off so I will let it go, because that’s too much for an essentially dead game. I know there are still some leagues etc. , but that’s not for me for various reasons.
Endurance Leagues are still using rFactor2, because they can't host online servers longer then 2.75 hours on the race control server hosting. Recreating Le Mans 24hr is impossible with Le Mans Ultimate.
You blame the sim and pricing not your own tardiness Dead game ? but you would have brought it if sale was same you said ? My statement said " save and load full 24 hour races " You can't save and load anything online What you meant to say ..... Online not possible at this time. My understanding through EA they will not make the same mistakes as rF2. I can think of no reason why this won't be possible in future especially since LMU does actually run and save 24 hours ...unlike rF2 which crashes after 6-8 hours recording ( shrugs ) Offline it is totally possible and doable I have done 4 full races over weeks. Only sim on the planet can do this offline. GTR 2 is not Le Mans
Yup. Now the “ Complete” pack is significantly more expensive and even last sale it was hard for me to justify buying , because I rarely played it anyway . But then I thought it will be the last opportunity to get Le Mans etc. for reasonable price.
Personally I just see it as a collector thing. I would say the majority of simmers get rid of all their old stuff. I keep GPL and the rest pristine plug and play, still update them all. Never really worried about monetary value. To me is something like if I ever had a plastic and metal model collection. Would I throw out the old ones, not a chance.
Might be worth looking at individual prices…Le Mans and the 2 Ferrari prices in pic…AUD price, so you’ll need to convert to your currency
I just had a blast racing online in this “dead” sim. You do what you want, but there’s no need to make up excuses for it. Just buy it or don’t, play what you want to play. The endless digs are silly.
