Just saw this, is this indication of a future rF2 based F1 game? https://motorsportgames.com/motorsp...ising-experience-launching-in-london-in-2022/
Looks to be an on-site gaming/lounge type deal, probably with fullsized motion sims. But mass-audience is never a good term for us simmers. But as long as Codemasters has F1 locked up for actual computers and consoles, I don't see rF2 getting F1 officially. If, however, they can build an F1 product with as much success as the new Indycar, then that is always something...
The questions are: Are they going to use the rF2 platform? Are they going to make a DLC for rF2 with the car? And the tracks? ... ... Hey wake up, stop dreaming!!!
People from F1 leagues is migrating day by day to other sims. If S397 doesn't implement the hybrid system, rF2 F1 leagues will die little by little.
Ya'know....Marcel has always said, 'when they license & build a car that requires hybrid, they will develop that tech.' But THEN I got to thinking, Several of the GT3 cars have wheel slip lights on the dash. This alerts the driver he has spun the rear tires. I can think of at least a few of the GT3 cars have those lights, the Aston Martin for example, but the slip lights don't work, all they do now is mimic the top of the rpm scale led lights. This is a tech that is currently in the real cars, one would think that it then should have already been developed.... IF one is to believe they will then develop, when needed, any hybrid or kerrs type tech.
Quote: "an immersive, state of the art F1® racing simulation experience, gamified for a mass audience," I think that says it all doesn't it? Cheers, Bob
simulators in a lounge networked for group racing, More like an adult Chuckee Cheese. Motion platforms, there IS a racing game, just not a home product.
I'd like to buy a few shares too, just as a symbolic form of support, but I don't even have a broker or ever bought shares before.. As an investment it's probably a safe choice, "has no where to go but up now".
As for "who gets F1", its all Crystal Ball stuff really. I've been on both sides of similar scale acquisitions. MG knows "Business is Blood Sport". Like it or not, that's the reality, and it was inevitable. Codemasters also plays by Blood Sport, but they have a really crappy product which is about to be exposed to the motorsports media. My Crystal Ball gives me the impression the MG team has a pretty intelligent growth strategy, but time will tell. F1 is also now under new management with major restructuring in place. Blood Sport and those guys play with A-10's rather than handguns.
S397 will have to develop the hybrid system, to do this. And they have said that they will implement the hybrid system when they build a car that needs it. We'll see...
I think they have missed a golden opportunity. Football, the round spotted kind. a dozen or so patrons of the cafe can play the game with gamepads, and the rest of the people in the establishment can start Hooligan fights while eating dinner.
Well.. given that Nascar '21 ignition is one of the worst games ever released.. I really don't think it is a good idea to let Motorsport Games get the F1 license.
