I reinstalled rf2 unto my new computer. Everything seems to work fine except after a minute or so my view gets taken out of my cockpit and I am then looking at the exterior of another car. I looked at all my setting and I don't get what's going on. Anyone have any idea?

I don't believe so. It can happen when I'm just sitting in the pits just waiting.

Update: I noticed that the camera switches to aview of whoever has the current best lap. Very weird.

WTF. In almost 4 years of rFactor 2 I haven't seen this once.

I surely hope someone from ISI knows what setting this is, because it doesn't make any sense.

You are not with any camera plugin installed?

Nope. It was a fresh install. No special plugins. I've been running rf2 since the initial beta release and never ran into this before.

Update: Based on comments here I looked into the active plugins and I believe the one causing the issue is rf2autocam. I don't remember specifically adding this one, so I'm not sure if this is a screw-up on my part, or a default one added based on a standard install.

To my way of thinking the only way that a view should change is by a key stroke, so what controllers do you have connected to your pc? Try disconnecting them all except for your mouse, even the keyboard, and start rF2 and if the view is stable start connecting your controllers one by one and repeat the process. I had an old faulty Xbox controller back in the rF1 days that was firing off unwanted commands.

edit...you posted while I was typing...good to see that you got it sorted
