Hi, I can't start the game. I uninstall and delete all files and install all again, but the issue still there. Help me, please.
The game has always worked perfectly, but when updating to the latest version, I got this bug. I have unsubscribed from all the workshop articles in case that was the failure, nothing.
If I give ACEPTAR, the error window comes out repeating the error, if I click it again, it repeats itself and so on ...
@Riki Jimenez Do you start the Game from Steam? I ask, because i wonder about the additions +path and +workshopsync Remove all additional options and try it then.
Btw for future reference... it is always best practice to delete some offending files that may be causing errors and then verifying files in Steam to get it to download just those (and any it finds missing). Saves you a lot of time and bandwidth for reinstalling all the game and content each time you encounter an error.
Hello, I have tried to uninstall and reinstall rF2, nothing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Steam, nothing. I have unsubscribed from all workshop content, nothing. And without doing anything different, the game has been opened. I do not understand anything. Now it seems to work.
I have the same issue, and running steam (and even rfactor2 after the first attempt) as admin didnt change a thing. I never added command lines somewhere so i really have no idea of where those commands may come from.
This isn't just an rFactor 2 thing, in fact this is happening when Steam is trying to run rF2 so I think that means it's actually not an rFactor 2 thing. +path=".." +workshopsync is completely normal. Here's my rF2 in task manager, having successfully started, with the command line shown: This means the arguments given are not a problem. That's how the game is supposed to be launched. It also doesn't mean a person with this error has entered these arguments in the launch options and then come here complaining about them popping up If you google "steam attempting to launch with optional parameters" you'll find a lot of games with people having the same issue. The common 'fixes' seem to be: restart steam run steam as admin set the game .exe to run as admin, OR, if it is, take it off! (running the game as admin can cause it!) all sorts of "go to this in steam, exit it, close steam, reboot, restart" sort of advice. ... I think we can't offer any more rF2 specific advice, but I hope those having the issue report how they fixed it when they do (because it might just be a case of people finding the right solution). Please google for more ideas.
I totally agree it may not be an issue related to rf2 but what its kind of weird is that this started happening right after the latest update. Dunno.
I found that Sim Experience was my issue. Starting through Steam works. Maybe Sim Experience needs an update?
I have exactly the same problem. RF2 works, but clicking "Launch rFactor.exe" gives me the same error and does NOT open the menu where mods and tracks are installed or uninstalled. NO SOLUTION, does anyone have a solution? Thank you so much Ayúdame por favor. [/COTIZAR][/COTIZAR][/QUOTE]
