I have a friend that would like to try rF2. He's downloaded the demo, but it won't start. Here's what I know so far, from a mail to another friend of mine.
I didn't even know there was a "demo" of rF2.

Small clarification... when i press "PLAY" in the Steam window, there is a brief message in the left column says "loading".. followed by "running"... the screen (monitor) does not go black, its just that nothing happens. i have tried to download again - but same results. i also uninstalled rF2 demo, and tried d'loading again - but same results.

Yes Dave same friend. He's been a sim racing buddy for over 20 years and he would like to try rF2. I never saw that forum posting.

In the other thread was no more reaction, so i thought it was solved.
Can it be that the use of the demo is time limited?

I have no idea if it's time limited. We're still trying to figure it out. It's the kind of thing that turns people off to rF2. I wonder how long he waits before shutting off. Sometimes it takes a while to start at first.

To try to help in such cases, by using the forum, is always difficult.
And i think it's not the demo that is the problem.
It would help us to maybe find out what the problem is, if we would get more infos, like computer specs, error messages and what he has done already, to try to solve the problem.
But if the communication is onesided, it is impossible to help. ;)
