Anyone know what the minimum system requirements to run one standalone rF2 Dedicated Server (Steam) is ?
I have enough bandwidth, I just cannot find the hardware system requirements anywhere.
Based upon 18 AI and 2 users.

It says if you actually read the post. To paraphrase, 400 MB RAM per each server instance with server population 20 to 30, and 250 MHz of CPU per instance.

Of course I had read the post before I posted, it is one of only about three online, but none answer the question clearly.
Then can you help by explaining :
    " 250 MHz of CPU per instance ? "
Presumably "server population 20 to 30" does not differentiate between AI or players ?
By asking for minimum hardware system requirements, I was looking for a simple :
    x version CPU
    x amount of RAM
and any other minimum hardware requirements.

Or maybe an easier question :
What is the lowest configuration computer anyone has managed to run a Steam rF2 dedicated server on ?
I am looking at trying an i3/4GB machine for the task.
    Any ideas anyone ?

AI I reckon will consume a bit more CPU than human players, but AI in rF2 is still very light. I would say any dual core CPU from last ten years is fine with 20-30 AI. The actual 3D models are not run on server, so RAM consumption should be minimal.

Our rented server is a i3-3240 @3.40Ghz with 8GB of RAM, currently running 2 servers.

Thanks a lot for the answers, stonec and Goanna.
I now have the dedi up and running, now i3-2120/6GB/7400M.
Memory use was around 3,4GB-3,7GB, CPU 9-11%, 4Mbps sent/ 0,3 Mbps received with 1 player and 18 AI on AC_Barcelona.
I will probably move the dedi to a separate SSD and try max the memory to 8GB.
Seems stable but I will know Friday night (old Q9550 server is backup !).
Interesting to hear that a similiar system can run two servers !

I've run a dedicated server on an Ubuntu Linux VM (18.04LTS, centos Linux 6 before that) using wine with good results in 4GB RAM with 2 cpu cores. Saves the windows tax and IMHO opinion is easier to administer remotely (yay for ssh access :)).

    All the best, Uwe
