REPLACED rF2 Build 494 Released

Can you guys improve the quality with multiscreen. Every update same thing like nothing is improve. It looks good on one screen yet with triple screen im getting over 100fps and isnt smooth . I cant higher my graphics because is getting worse still with high FPS. Sometimes i put Vsync on and its smoother but only sometimes and vsync should be off i guess and no problem . Well it does not run smooth at all whe vsync off thats the problem. With one screen i have Vsync off and no problem.

So glad im moving and have packed away my sim rig, things should be a lot better when I return if a new build is out and stable. This build made me pack it up a lot quicker. I'm in no rush need the break, might see a lot more improvements this way can only wish.

Well done, coops.

No point flogging a dead horse. I have had enough, too. It is hard to express the exasperation.

Gray button go away dont come again another day (all gray tonight )

ISI really fluffed it this time. 3 month wait, then this.

That's a long ****in time. I cannot use the software on my computer that takes up 50Gb (MP). Now, the game will be 'accessible' (lol) in 'the next public release'.

Of course, no word on when that comes.

As a result, the F3 Fanatics Cup will be forced to cancel. It doubt it will be postponed, because I am not doing it again.

Its a ****ing shame, I tell ya. Lucky you didn't advertise it on FB like you offered, Tim.

No hard feelings. Not your fault.

I would have been sick Saturday, too. Anyone in your shoes would have been.

I've had this since... forever lol... Not thought a lot of it though...

It is on the main straight on Sepang, inside the pits somewhere, easy to spot when going past...

So far all the people reporting this are running AMD Cards. Are you guys on the latest drivers, because I ain't?

Running everything max except env reflections low. I wonder it must be some specific combination of settings?

I also saw some distant Skippy yesterday flicker a black rectangle beneath it, which also seemed to be some kind of reflection bug.

Edit: Adding one of the pics from Barf Factor here so everyone knows what we're talking about.

I'd LOVE to hear ISI Staff take on this visual artifacts/bug. GRAB_004.jpg

I am on the latest drivers yes...

I have almost everything on the highest seettings, shadows are on high, not max though... Shadow blur is on quality though.

I have it on the new Bahrain by McNolo too, there's a bill-board on the straight after turn 3, it's shadows is showing in the road, although the billboard itself is 20-25 meters away from the track lol :P

Okay, so it's happening with old and new drivers. Paddler, are you on ATI too? Which one?

I just ran low road reflections up to B300 and it wasn't an issue, but on the new one it's with LOW and diasaling road reflections is not so cool.

Just grabbed a quick screen to show you what I'm on about... This is the worst one by far, yet lol...

I've had it since... build 48 lol

Maybe it's something to do with new HDR option?
I have it now whereas didn't before.

Although I now have the greyed out join button problem but didn't have that big a problem with it earlier in the week?

You two guys on ATI cards too?

It exsisted in some way or another all the way before Build 300 but now it gets annoying.

This looks EXACTLY as massive as the Skippy reflecting a "black block" beneath it. The other instances I saw this, it's always a "cloud of flys" type pixelated black mesh, but these solid rectangles seem to be new in current build.

Is there a formal way to get ISI a bugreport? Everyone who has this, please tell us GFX Card, Road Reflection Settings...

GTX 780 & reflections low.

The Bahrain issue Bjorn posted is all I've noticed so far but I haven't had much time with this build.

Interesting, so we now have a Nvidia user affected...

A reliable way to test this for me is to load up any car at Poznan, and "circle round" the external camera from a low level while watching the asphalt near to the car.

On this forum:
rFactor2 -> Technical -> Bug Reports

Keep in mind that solid information is a must:
- screenshot / video
- short description of problem
- system information (or have it in profile), including version of graphics driver
- settings you're using

Otherwise you're asking developers to solve a problem while wearing blindfolds :)

This issue was reported before. Seemed like windows of some house were reflected in road as dark pixels. My wild guess is that it has something to do with alpha channel of reflection texture. Not the one provided by track artist, but the one created on the fly by game engine. But it's just a guess.

I found a temporary workaround for the 3DVision tyre shader issue. I copied the 382 vs30_deformableTire.obj file from UserData\Log\Shaders 382 version directory into the equivalent 493 directory overwriting the 493 version (having run the 493 version at least once). These shaders are cached on startup and placed in this directory if they don't exist, otherwise the version in this directory is used instead (caching mechanism I assume). This allow the use of the previous shader version rather than the new shader (as I have effectively cached the 382 version instead). This works for me as the tyres now seem fixed.

Obviously, backup all affected files first and if you're not sure what you are doing, then don't do it. This is only for those who are desperate for working 3DVision in latest version (although I only tried it with my unstable version 493).

If you cock up the shader file, deleting it from this shader cache directory will result in it getting dumped and recached so recovering should be easy.

Obviously any enhancements that were made to this shader will be lost. I suppose I could try and fix the newer shader code to add depth via helix mod, but this is fine fir the moment I think.

Hello,
I cant find 382 folder or enything? Could you attach this file pleas.

tnx

Will everyone's rFactor 2 multiplayer subscription be extended by the respective amount of time we've been locked out for Standard License people?
