REPLACED rF2 Build 494 Released

Don't worry mate, dedicated servers works fine if space is not used in game name or vmod name.
I have tested this and all our dedicated servers works fine. Everybody can join and rejoin if join bottom is grey use refresh bottom,
get mod works and car select in game works also.
You can test this with our servers if you like, game name: -Fun2Race.net-1-

PS. vmod the _ character shows up as a space in the MP lobby

 

But why it is so difficult to fix this simple issue?

Build 382 and 494 hurt the MP, it's not good.

 

Because coding is never straightforward nor easy. In the meantime there is a perfectly simple fix. All is well. Will repeat the SimHQ server has been running stable and trouble free on 494 for days now. Many drivers connecting, moving sessions forward and I even tested while uploading a video, causing a ping of 1140ms. Still worked fine, if not a bit warpy for me.

It's now monday morning in Europe, I'm sure ISI will be working hard on a fix in a couple of hours, patience people

 

Yes I can download your mods Ari, I use hyphens as well.

Best thing people can do is after mod download, cancel car section, shut online, boot offline, load mod, car and track you will drive ( plus any setting changes you want to be saved ) start a race, close offline, start online.

The amount of people getting their knickers in a twist over an issue with such a simple temporary workaround is quite laughable.

 

How I hate fanboy comments like this, all is not well before there is a fix or new build.
BTW how is you SLI with triple screen working? That is working well to?

Yup - triple screen working great. No issues here. Not fanboy, but it gets irritating listening to problems that are solved by not having spaces in vmod names or server names. How hard can it be? Again, SimHQ server wotking brilliantly.

But can you see, that build 494 with these issue destroy the rF2 MP?

It is not hard at all I am hosting Fun2Race.net servers and they work 100%.
SimHQ server is not working, join bottom is grey and you can not join, server is not working brilliantly as you claim. Do not give wrong information here in ISI forums please.

You are using shadows, HDR, reflection options, high track, texture, opponent and car details and all is fine?

 

are you kidding me?! it's early Monday morning for Europe, most of us just got up for work or school, the US are just going to bed and you're bemoaning empty servers .... unbelievable!

i wanted to say, almost everytime, thatswhy a fix for greyed out join button in build 494 is needed, or not?
I wouldn't say, all is well now.

Hopefully in next build the issue with the new prediction code (lowrider effect) is eliminated, it looked much better than the current prediction, if it worked

 

Well someone has to join an empty server or no-one will ever go on it.

 

that's not the reason for mostly empty ISI servers with Build 494, the join button fix will solve this problem

our server works great to but some dont The vmods dont mean **** we are hosting right now a vmod with spaces in 494 we had 14 on not a hassle at all

but some have no luck at all no matter what quick fix is done, What works for some DONT work for others
and thats why people are getting there knickers in a knot!
