Hi guys, heres the poll result. Not getting as many respond as i would prefer to move on to the next thing (maybe due to the required login for voting). Nontheless I can see roughly that we shud stick to wut we were doing.

Agreed looks like stick with what we have for now, however I'm interested to see if everyone prefers Formula Masters or F2 or Formula Renault. Maybe it's just me but I can't seem to get quick enough in F Masters

Also 9:30 your time is 11:30 in Australia, so that is getting too late for me (and possibly many others) If we get more drivers we could maybe do some races later or earlier on the same day (support races then main event)

Hi guys. I don't think weekdays will work for me. I'm okay with moving the event a couple of hours ahead, if it's on a Sunday. (My time zone is +5:30) :)

    Thanks for the response guys.

I have found that 6pm on Sundays is kind of a sweet spot for us.
Basically if i push it forward itll be too late for some and vice versa.
Im happy to have found a good time for us all in this region.

Some other things we need to set.

    1. Do we proceed with Formula Masters with tracks from other region?

    2. Or stick with tracks from this region and change series?

Coz my original idea was to be close to our region tracks so we can simulate the real track time and weather, like what we have done in our first few races.
I have Macau, Korea, Shanghai, Fuji in consideration.

But thats just me. Share your thoughts guys. Thanks

I'm happy with tracks from the region - sounds like rF2 Asia to me.
I'd prefer to drive a less powerful openwheel car - probably Formula Renault but I also like F2, but I will drive Formula Masters if most drivers want them

Driving in an Asian Series makes me think we could do a deal with a premier series to act as a feeder series for them which might attract more drivers. Looking at my performance so far, I'd be driving in Asia until I retire LOL

    Thats an idea Brack.

I cant find anyone else running rf2 league in this region bar Australia which haf a few.

My original intent was to be the main one for the rest of the region. But to attract more participants i think we can do that.

Which premier series u have in mind, Brack?

No Idea mate. I've watch a bit of the FSR series and like some of their ideas. Could the top driver from Asia skip their Pro series for example?

Otherwise in time we can have the same idea, feeder series to the main event

Agree with maranello55 on the time, 6pm is roughly just the right timing to cater to the current group of participant.

As for location, to make the most use out of the Live Weather plugin, tracks from this region would be the best, that way it'll make adapting to the Live Weather a crucial factor drivers need to consider.

As for choice of vehicle, a lower tier open wheeler sounds like a good idea, and hopefully able to attract more drivers who aren't accustomed to top tier machines yet.

    The main event being FSR?
Not a bad idea. A sponsored entry to it and representing rF2 Asia. Or have I got it wrong. :p
Sorry afterwork brain not functioning properly lol

    Thanks for the response Jan.

I think we can start F3.5 this Sunday.
A plus running F3.5 i think it is more updated than the Fomula Masters (better contact patch and flexi chassis).
And its available with the demo so any newcomers can join our series with a similar platform. :)

This all sounds like good thinking to me.

Maybe another way we could think about things is that local country racing series are feeder series to RF2 Asia?

Given the level of competition so far, I was slower by a long way. The last league I competed in was Indy Extended Circuit (IEC) Which ran from 1997 to 1999 for Indycar Racing 2

Now, how do we get more drivers? The races we had were very good and everyone was polite and kept out of everyone's way (except me who had a good 10 lap or so battle with IBM at Istanbul (and held him up) but we were racing for position

I think thats is the only way to go. I have close friends in some leagues in this region but none of them are interested in rF2. They are all been running other titles.

I myself has been trying to lure guys from my country to join me but its very hard. As I have come to believe that sim racers purist is a dying breed. Jan Han Liang is my countryman form Malaysia and we finished a season of rF2, 12 rounds of BES vs EGT mod. But the grid never exceed 1 figure.

I am not very good in promoting and marketing hence Im open to suggestion from you guys.

So yes, the guys that racing with us will come from local leagues or those who have no link to any league likewise. They can do that by representing their league in our races or not to. Like what uve done by creating a team in LiveRacers.

p/s : and yes Brack, we currently have a good line of drivers. I think its because of the nature of rF2 itself. Ive never met an online 'schumacher' form other titles with rF2. :)

*post shortened of some repetitive nonsense

p/s2 : I think we need to like rF2 Asia with some-one....like wut Pitlanes.com has done with Michelin.
