[rF2 Asia Series] OnWheelsTV 12 Hour of Bathurst

Im baffled with megane fuel tank, only last 10 laps, i mean for the 12 hour durations that is every 30 minutes or so calculating laptimes around 3 minutes perlap or less including start and entry/exit pit time. You must pit.
Therefore if the car survives 12
Hour it will pit 23 times.
Where each stint per driver is pitting minimum 3-4 times over 2 hour durations.
Sounds normal? How many laps can the gt3 class a last per tank?

As ive said few days ago....3millionpitstops lol

I think race settings are not finalised yet and i talked to Jorge ysterday abt carskins and our team registration that hasnt appeared in their website. Their guys just gonna be back fr holidays tday n it shud be finalised soon in the 'briefing' section on their website.

I hope it will come soon enough for them to entertain some questions....like what ive told Jorge.

And Quali might be push forward to race day because of the number that is lower than expected....unless sudden surge of sign ups happens in the next few days.

My hunch saying that there wont be any damage or fuel multiplier....since 370z and megane is not endurance class at all, the tank size is one pf the reason obviously.

We'll see.
 
Right i was worried that the quali is going to be in 4 days so i practiced today.
So nervous- But excited at the same time. Position is so important so we dont get caught in traffic early.
Thanks for the update, yes i checked the driver entry list in their website and its only 3
Teams per class atm and most of them from brazil.

[Sarcasm] Well well, the fast guys will have to pit a lot. The 370z holds 100L which looks like it will good for 24 laps. We can pass you while you are standing still [/Sarcasm]

I should not have had 2 glasses of wine with dinner as I need to test whether this is true!

Hello Yong Jie here. Time for me to join in the conversation ;)

The 370z could last 30 laps without much problem, but I guess we stay with 28 laps for now just to have some extra fuel as backup.

Each stint lasts around 65-70 minutes, therefore it would mean 10 pit stops with the potential of the last pit stop being a splash and dash.

For the tires, I found a pretty neat thing.

Each Pits takes:
Run in pitlane: around 30s
Refuel Full: 27s
Refuel full + Front Tire Change: 27s
Refuel Full + Tire Change Full: 48s
Driver Swap does not add time

Notice that a full refuel takes as long as a full refuel plus a front tire change? But I guess we are not going to change the front tires every stint since tire wear is not a problem and coming out of every stint on cold tires isn't too ideal.

The rear tires are like tanks. So I suppose we can keep them on for 4 or more stints.
 
good work mate. I was thinking this means we swap drivers every two stops. As you and Fadzli are in the same time zone, we have three options where you and he can be interchangeable. I'm Ok with any option, they are all equally bad!

BTW, is there any info on the format of the qualifying? Do all drivers have to do a lap or we nominate one driver to do the run?

From the rules:
"2. The server settings:
...
Qualifying session (16th): 15 minutes for each category. The top 12 cars of each class will advance to the race.
..."

IMO this means one driver is nominated, which allows 12 different teams, essentially 36 cars on the grid considering 3 classes.
If we all do quali and say some teams' drivers are slower in general, theoretically as a result 12 best positions could be spread say between 3 or even 2 teams.
