Hi all, I recall seeing somewhere that it was possible to enable some settings that allowed you, in the event a multiplayer server became disconnected or crashed, to resume that session from where it became broken (e.g. from lap 66). But I can't find details of this anywhere as I search for it now. Can anyone give a hint as to the settings involved?

Also, if you know if when it resumes it remembers which lap each car is on, its relative position on track, its tyre wear and damage, etc... or the resume feature is not so complex?

    Thanks so much in advance!

You can "resume from replay" but unsure if you can do the same in multiplayer.

If you crashed out of multiplayer the race would keep going without you until you reconnect.

    Here is the link.

To answer your question, it does not restore tyre wear.

The system is flawed. Does not work too good if 2 or more drivers have picked the same number car. This is because when you run the batch file to order the cars, the batch file uses cars number and not the driver name.
    For example:
    /editgrid 1 V:Lexus SC430 GT500 #006
    /editgrid 2 V:Lexus SC430 GT500 #036
    /editgrid 3 V:Lexus SC430 GT500 #039
    /editgrid 4 V:Lexus SC430 GT500 #038
    /editgrid 5 V:Lexus SC430 GT500 #037
    /editgrid 6 V:Lexus SC430 GT500 #019
    /editgrid 7 V:Lexus SC430 GT500 #019

    /editgrid 8 V:Lexus SC430 GT500 #036
    /editgrid 9 V:Lexus SC430 GT500 #038
    /editgrid 10 V:Lexus SC430 GT500 #039

As you can see the same number car comes up in the list.
For example we have car number 38 at grid 4 and also the same number 38 at grid 9.
or car number 19 at grid 6 and 7. etc.

If you use this system for your league, you need to make sure no one is driving the same number car or it will fail. Not so easy if there are more drivers than cars in the mod.

Thanks @DJCruicky! That's awesome info - cheers for the link, and will definitely look out for duplicate driver numbers! Thanks again

Cheers for the info @Woodee and taking the time to respond. @DJCruicky was on the money, knew I'd seen it somewhere but couldn't find it myself.
