Tried new controller,different controller and had it detect also. Even tried the sts Compared new meg with old meg at same tracks. Most noticeable at low speed.

Really great to see this mod updated with a - to be honest - much better looking and much more representative recreation of the Megane! Thank you so much for this! Just experienced some minor issues: The upgrades don't work for me, even forcing them doesn't work. Mod related or does the old version disturb this function!? The car is not centered. Either in the spinner or on track.
Had a blast driving the new Meganes at Palm Beach.They 'feel' better as a whole and you need to really drive them with steering and throttle (and patience) to get them through the tight stuff at speed. Reduced understeer by detaching ARB in setup. Meganes reward smooth driving and precise braking. In terms of feel they have a Flat6 vibe about them and I think even the lap times are in the same zone. Only small downside is the AI seem a little meek at 100% and 50% aggro which I run on most rF2 cars. Will amp up the aggression. On the plus with AI they make mistakes and lose it - even had the leader get it all wrong at one point... Very good upgrade.
I could have wrote this... I also did a race weekend yesterday but at Portugal and it is the same there. Flat6 and Megane could be very close together, but the Megane AI is quite stupid still, compared to the Flat6 AI.
The most simple example: "Turn 2 at Portugal is quite fast right?" Both cars drive out of the box, start accelerating after Pitexit, take the hairpin and drive to Turn 2: Flat6 AI get through Turn 2 reasonable without breaking. Only lift, iirc. Almost at race speed. The Megane AI almost stops into Turn 2. (20 kph or less...) Also: Flat6 uses all the path/lines. Blocking path etc. Megane doesn't. At least not like the Flat6 AI EDIT PLUS: Driving the Megane, I'm almost as fast as the Flat6 @ 100 % strength. The Megane AI is 1.6 seconds of the pace. At least....
They give me the impression somewhat of being frightened and over-reacting or reacting wrongly when in battle... not the best decision making AI Hard to explain -just drive against them and you will understand.
Thank you for one of my favorite cars . Until now, I'm slower with this new release, I feel the rear more tricky and I totally agree with Paul Loatman says above : "...once you lose it, it's very difficult to control and will slide much further in an uncontrollable manner which makes it much easier to get yourself into a barrier..."
IIRC, the Méganes use a Mégane specific racing path on that track. There's probably just a kink in the pit exit path where it joins the racing path. So that would be a minor AIW issue, rather than an AI issue. Race pace, I haven't experienced the Mégane AI being that far off the pace. Flat 6 though seems to be a bit too fast (too much grip) in some parts of certain tracks though.
