Awesome ! One of the best fE tracks. I remember somebody guessed this track in discord, congrats for that guy too. Now waiting for rF2 onboard.
After a long time I tested the current FE generation again on the track in Rome and I am completely surprised that I suddenly like it very much..... stupid question: is there only one gear on the FE 2021?
Electric Motors as opposed to Internal Combustion Engines do not require gearing to allow torque to build horsepower. The horsepower/Watts is/are 100% available from a standstill. Remember what my teacher used to tell me: There are no stupid questions David, only stoopid people asking smart questions!
Yes, all internal combustion engines will be removed on 01.04 and only electric engines will be allowed. You are not allowed to go online after 01.04 otherwise all combustion engines will be removed forever.
This is the first FE track I've driven where I have framerate drops. The framerate in VR drops from my normal 90fps to about 72 right after exiting the hairpin and stays there for several turns (T13 through T16) and then it jumps back up to 90 fps for the rest of the track. I didn't mess with any settings yet because my identical settings work fine on all the other FE tracks, including the just-released Diriyah. This is not a complaint; it's just an observation.
Surprising in this day and age that everyone doesn't understand motor racing covers a-lot of genres and we don't all have to like them all. We don't even have to understand why someone else may like something we consider heresy. Yet they have just as much right to content as any of us....(says the guy pining for an Acura/Honda NSX GT3)....
I will probably never like formula e cars and how they have to be driven without gears, etc. track is nice, except for the trees which look like a 90s game.
From my point of view I really don't use formula E content I just bought it to support the dev and I hope to see more content geared towards endurance and perhaps a bit of formula one type of racing. Anyway any content released is nice to see it means things are still worked out to push the sim forward!
I'm quite a big Formula E fan. Not perhaps because of the racing or teams but because of the concept of cars and tracks. I brought all the FE content even through I don't drive it as much as I would like to (+ they obviously don't drive like any other car). But rFactor2 beeing the only real sim (and even racing game) with FE content is great. The next step would be to use the FE content in the CS. That would be almost a killer feature of rF2 and would boost the player base for sure.
