haven't seen this mentioned, the wall segments, many, have offsets, inset... they are race end'ers, not only for the driver that catches one but anyone near when it happens. View attachment 5011 i don't remember this being an issue with the rF1 version of long beach, but it was a big problem at rF1 las vegas, i was surprised to see it migrate into this track for rf2. great track otherwise, even the bumps, makes it a challenge.
thanks for the info guys, i'll add it to my list of fixes. causes: my pitlightin instance was named incorrectly. Fixed the barriers.
looking forward to race this track with the 1994/1995 cart mod from idT hope progress on converting this one is well on the way @ doug
It's well under way, just hit a short roadblock in the last few months (damn real life gets in the middle of everything), but is progressing again.
the readme has a changelog. basically fixed a few barriers and the pit in light instance. and a map on the bridge. Pit lane does have an unusual rise in it that i want to fix. As far as the track polys, I cannot go off of one cars characteristics on it since I have no idea how your car is setup. Almost any car should have a soft spring setup at LB.
As far as track polys, you don't need car data to know that the road at Long Beach isn't that bumpy. Here's the Google Street view of where the C6R is getting maybe 1 foot of air. It doesn't look like that's possible even with the stiffest setup imaginable.
Bumps are a little sharp like someone has left a thick 5" hose accross track , be nice if they could be smoothed a little
updated: http://www.idtsimulations.com/archive/rFactor2/Locations/idtLongBeach12_095.rar fixed barriers along s/f line, fixed LOD's of some banners/objects, lowered tdf bump specs, adjusted pit lane a little. Enjoy the race weekend. I'll be there.
BTW, if anyone with HDR skills want to contribute a better profile, please email it to me at doug at idtsimulations.com
Just saw a virtual lap of the IZOD track for this weekend. the iDT track looks ten million times better!
