    Ok, was it related to suspension pickup points? Scrub radius maybe?

    nice !!
    but is it not possible to add a no_drs setting in the customize option ? so we can use the track with AI for all the tracks without DRS zone...same for the BMW classe 1.

    Since we probably wont see track temps affecting tyre temps any time soon, are the compound wear rates also going to be adjusted on other cars to counter that?

    The AI doesn't use DRS?

    they use constantly DRS with tracks without DRS zone, I can't use Nordschleife, for example....the best simple fix is to add the '"no_drs" in the customize option.

    Hmm, well then.
    I almost bought the F1 racer now... but I'd rather not.

    To be fair, it is more of a track configuration problem, rather than the F1 Pro itself. However, at this time, if you are going to drive a car with DRS, like the Pro and BMW M4 C1, then offline users should avoid any NON-F1 style track.(use only tracks where DRS zones are defined)
    I think what many here would like to see, is a menu setting that disables DRS at tracks that do not have any DRS Zones. (Sebring, Le Mans, Nords etc) That would open up the full range of tracks to users wanting to drive DRS cars.
    I haven't been in an online for probably 20 years, how do leagues handle using DRS capable cars at NON-DRS tracks?

    The easy fix is to add in the code this option for customization for F1 and DTM :

    {
    drs = false
    }

    That's all, it takes one minute, and we can enjoy the car in EVERY track, for me the car maker has to implement this option, not the track maker....
    It's a dev choice to not add it.

    I think the easiest solution is to add this to the UI amonst other very usefull settings for rules. Stuff like safety car laps, threshhold, pit speed limit, FCY could all be shipped to the UI to avoid json file editing. Yesterday I used some of the historic content for rF2 and it was annoying to not be able to blast through the pits as fast as possible. :D

    You modify (via update if necessary) the track to either stop DRS, or you create a zone (or multiple) in a logical place.

    I don't think this situation is as black and white as made out. A track will tend to be modelled with real DRS zones, but they're basically series-specific (look at F1 - they adjust zones all the time, depending on the cars and what happened last time). Does a track maker decide that their track should disable DRS, because no real life events held there have used it? Or make up some zones that might be ineffective, or too effective?

    On the flip side, why have a car upgrade that disables DRS in a car that always has DRS? I know we already don't have hybrid, but no DRS as well?

    I think a flexible DRS implementation would be best, but I'd hate to guess how long that might take. In the meantime: just make it an option, for offline use and for servers. No track or car code necessary.

    Other solutions above will work, of course.

    *Augh! Ninja'd by @hitm4k3r !

    Pretty much what I was suggesting, just make it a menu option. The only issue I can see is if you FORGET to turn it back on when you do use a DRS track. I imagine clever folks could make a clever option when you load the track/car. DO YOU WANT DRS ENABLED?

    Some leagues simply mod the tracks and introduce DRS zones. For instance, the guys at High Octane changed Dijon to have DRS on the main straight for an "BMW Class 1 Open event".

    I think I could have written this line more clearly:
    I think what many here would like to see, is a menu setting that disables DRS at tracks that do not have any DRS Zones.
    I should have said: a menu option that disables AI controlled cars ability to use DRS at tracks that do not have any DRS Zones.

    I hope the DRS option enabled disabled comes.
    In the current state, I prefer to distance myself from the F1 Pro.
    Because Monza is still not going smoothly for me as a single player.
    When I was new to rF2 I always bought everything immediately.
    now I'm cautious about that.
    I really hope that Monza will finally get a clean AIW file.
    With block paths and the mysterious braking point after chicane 1 must finally be fixed.
    It is really annoying that the AI always slows down there.
    Ok doesn't belong here.
    I just want to mention it as a paying customer.

    "a menu option that disables player AND AI controlled cars ability to use DRS at tracks that do not have any DRS Zones." Perhaps this is even clearer?

    Does the tire only affect wear or did it grip less as well? ... After testing it seemed to me that it skidded more, or is it just me?:rolleyes:o_O:cool:
