Reiza Pack update, where is it?

After bringing content from Zolder, how about releasing the Reiza pack update? According to Reiza and s397 himself, it's been ready for over a year.

Its down to Reiza to update it. Can't see that happening when theyre focused on their own game which is what is producing 100% of their income. Also it was never said it was ready at all. All Reiza said was that the work had started.

The last I recall they blamed S397 for lack of communication.

you are mistaken, there were just a few details missing

I don't know why they ever stated they would upgrade DLC anyway ?
Not like 4 updated circuits were going to make a difference.

Because they’re old and the cars don’t function properly? They’re still for sale.

Thanks to the OP for making a thread for this, anyway, instead of polluting the Zolder thread.

Well lots of DLC is old and have issues.
My point stands it would have made no difference to rf2 neither will Zolder.
Throw all the DLC at it you want will make no difference whatsoever imho ( shrugs )
Only someone lives under a rock would not know long existing issues in engine.

Who said otherwise, regarding fixing rF2 or it having issues? Of course content updates don’t fix game bugs.

What may have helped if everyone that loved rF2 had went and made a review and bumped it up to 90% with the rest of the FLAWED engines were it belongs.

You said I was wrong about that one too.
Typical defeatist attitude.

Anyway my point way back years ago I said the DLC would make no difference to rF2 and you were flippant with me then too. ( shrugs )

.

Yeah but "fair suck of the sav" mate, I said imho and it works for me always has always does and don't look bad either imho.

Like I said Belgium Italy could do with work first but again what difference would it make except to passionate fans that already own it ?

*Australian slang phrase that means "be reasonable" or "fair go"

I'm talking about DLC. I assume when you talk about Belgium and Italy you mean historic Spa and Monza?

The Ibarra circuit could really be of great interest to me.

It's probably the smallest circuit I'd be most interested in having installed on my hard drive.

Firstly, the layout is very interesting.
Secondly, you can take the layout in reverse, which makes two interesting layouts for the price of one.
The location and context of the circuit make it visually interesting, and the size combined with the very large number of turns really make it a good track.

For me, it's simply a useful circuit, for testing certain types of cars in particular (low perf especially).

But currently, graphically, it's really not great, the colorimetry isn't great either, which makes me even worse, and some extra effort on the track physics (bumps) would be much appreciated.

I'm not a circuit modder, but I don't think there are 36 billion things to do to improve the visuals, so if they release an improved version, I think it should be pretty good, even excellent.

Yes mate I was.
Point I was making from outset is anything done to rF2 now including DLC is little more then a bandage. It will not effect sales which have continually declined.
To me rF2 has simply not changed since I first drove it, still best driving sim.
You can throw all the UI content and features at it you want, never made a difference to me.
From sales never made much a difference to outsiders either.

You asked why “they” would upgrade the DLC.

They, here, is Reiza.

I said because it’s still for sale.

Eveeeeeerything else you’ve gone on about is nothing to do with anything I said here. I don’t know who you think you’re replying to, but it’s not me.

Do you know if there is any hope that this DLC will finally be updated soon ?

I'm most likely wrong, but I seem to have seen somewhere that one of the people responsible for updating this DLC is someone well known here, the guy who made Zolder, Frederick Alonso.

But I'm not sure.

I have a keen interest in the Ibarra circuit and the Virginia International Raceway.

I'll allow myself to tag the person I referred to :
@Frederick Alonso

I don't care if it's just a band-aid, ALL band-aids are welcome to improve this great simulator.

I would love for a significant portion of the improvements made for LMU to come to rFactor 2, even if they're just band-aids, I don't care.

Take care of rFactor 2, put as many band-aids on it as you want.

Well yes exactly more band-aids the better.

That does not change my feelings which everyone is entitled to have ( shrugs )
