    Hello

I don't know if this makes sense but essentially my game runs at 60FPS solid, however the environment reflection on the hood are a slower rate .
    How can I improve this?

    Hi,
This seems to be the case with the whole car not just the hood. I remember this happened after some of the performance updates were released and a few members seem to think s397 lowered the update rate of reflections or something which I believe they denied. So who knows really what's true but I can confirm this happens to several people.

I though this was a settings . Is it a bug?
There must be a parameter on video settings..

Have you maxed out all settings?. If so then it is what it is. As I said it has been spoken of and nothing has come from It. If anyone else wants to chime in on this please do as to me this is due to what I stated above

I don't really want to start playing with settings.. it took me ages to get to this point.
Hopefully someone can comment on this

It's not bug. It's so called optimisation. Reflections fps locked to smth.

This is why we got in Assetto Corsa.

We don't have it in R factor it seems..

I also have low FPS env reflections issue. In other sims like AMS , AC, R3E I have very smooth reflections and no apparent impact on overall performance. So nothing can be done to fix this? No hidden settings or tweaks? If not they why it only happens on some PCs?

Yes it is how things were “optimized” some time ago. Simply remove the old “high” settings and rename the low settings to high. Magic

The post you were replying to wasn’t giving advice, just expressing what seemed to happen during the optimisation process. i.e. lowering the refresh rate of the highest reflection setting.

What's worse - off setting fully disables reflections instead of making them static like it always was.

Ah now I get it. But that's just not acceptable in modern games. I could understand it happens for some users who have optimization enabled somewhere (i.e. Nvidia control panel), but if pretty much everything is maxed out...

Was this issue officially reported ?

Just an easy (lazy) and way to optimize, rename settings one lower! High becomes medium, medium becomes low, magic fps gain with no visual loss
