I just tried the Rebellion LMP1 v0.98, from Stefan Woudenberg (I hope I make no mistake with the modder's name) in Race department forum. I hope it is not a tabou theme in this forum as I am surprised not seing it posted here. Nevertheless it is now a solid contender (not the case with previous versions that were unstable), interesting to drive without TC, that allows great interclass racing with EGT. Am I alone in thinking so? Cheers.
The car seems to have been done from scratch if i understand well so is not tabou here. Thanks i had not heard about it.
This car is absolutely amazing to drive. I thought I'd just test it for a lap or two at 90's Le Mans... ended up doing a 50 minutte stint because the car was such a joy to drive.
Indeed a lovely car! Download this car: CLICK HERE Car is completely scratch build and tested by the Racedepartment community. Chassis : Lola B12/60 Team : Rebellion Racing Engine : Toyota 3.4L V8 RV8KLM 500+ bhp Series : FIA WEC Year : 2013 Model by : Stefan Woudenberg Sound : iDT Simulations 2008 (with permission) Testing : Dennis Coufal, Frederic Schornstein Skins : Joao Fernandes This is a first release, so people can start driving this car and hopefully come with constructive comments to make it better. ==> CLICK HERE Sven is working on the static shadows which will make everything look better, also the driver animation is something I am gonna work on. The next release should include these improvements and fixes for the issues people might find. As soon as the final release comes, I will release this car as open source, so people can learn and share.... Thanx go to Dennis Coufal, Sven Hielscher, Frederic Schornstein, Joao Fernandes, Knut Omdal Tveito, and everyone here at RaceDepartment who supported me and helped me along the way. Enjoy!
Brilliant project this. Can't get enough of this car! The sound when downshifting... oh man! It will very exciting to see some visual improvements too. Good stuff indeed.
The car is great fun, but I think the tire sounds could be improved. They sound very similar to the URD cars (and that's my major gripe with Ales' creation, too ) All the best, Uwe
Is very good i like it a lot, but the ai is extreme fast in tiger circuit, 100/25 settings. They are 5.5 seconds faster than me! Sent from my Note3
If only there were actually some other good modern prototype chassis out there to pair it with for some serious mixed-category endurance races. Toyota, Audi, Porsche, the Oreca and Morgan...if only.
There is an Audi which is decent, but stolen, and a Toyota which is scratch made but beta version. I'm afraid their performance doesn't match up at all.
Don't know about the Toyota but the Audi is far from decent in almost every area, except for lod_0 model
.. and where can we get the good one? I would be very happy if I could drive a good LMP1 mod. I have the R18 2011 v1.1 which is the best LMP1 mod so far imo, but true, it's far from good. It's handling is pretty.. brutal.
Don't miss the last update of the car V0.99 with new and improved physics and graphics. You can find it at Race Department. Cheers.
The car is very nice to drive and looks much better on track than on the garage view, it is easy to try it and see if it suits you. I enjoy it, but understand that others may think otherwise. Cheers.
I like how it handles, very similar to the SimHQ but about that point... No, it doesn't. Visuals aren't good.
