Hi guys, I wonder if the real feel tweaking exist in rF2 like what AMS and i think rF1 has? In AMS its CTRL+NUMpad buttons to tweak FF gain, FF sharpness, RFP mix and FF smooth. If not, does it exist in the code and could perhaps be activated? It really helps to dial in FFB perfectly.
The mods contain information to help scale FFB (something missing in rF1, and I'm guessing AMS), other than that it's fairly well locked down.
You can adjust the ffb in settings/controls look for "ffb multiplier" & "ffb inimum torque" The multiplier has to be done to each car mod.
not sure how you missed it but all the info you need is right here: https://forum.studio-397.com/index....actor-2-the-key-to-being-in-the-zone-d.42931/
Or you could get the same needed info from peterchen's two-line response. No need to read 65 pages...
Not really what i looked for, but thanks. I asked if the same RFP tweak functions that is in AMS and rF1 also is in rF2. I got my answer in post 2. I have been around sim racing long enough to know how to set up the FFB.
Alex72: To give you the longer version of my reply just for completeness: While AMS is quasi build around the realfeel-pluggie, rF2 has a brand new FFB-engine that has nothing to do anymore with rF1. It isn´t tweakable (in this regards) because it is a direct and unfiltered result of all realtime driveline and suspension outputs as it is in a real car. Nothing to tweak here, other than building another car. (or adjust setup) P.s.: Sorry for my crappy technical English! I hope you got what I meant.
Yeah completely, thank you. Im sure i wont have any FFB deadzone problems when i get a DD wheel hehe. With DFGT though you are happy for any extra FFB tweak you can get. But even with a cheap wheel like DFGT rF2 FFB feels really great. Just some cars with FFB deadzone and minimum torque doesnt really help much so i just had to check if the RFP tweaks existed.
Is this true? I remember they said they took the real feel plugin and put it in the source code. The rest is the new tire physics. But I might be wrong. Edit: Well... you end up with the same I guess... hehe.
The real feel plugin just took steering arm values the game was producing, it didn't calculate any new ones. rF2 does largely the same thing, and because it only works that way you can't put in dodgy geometry like you could get away with in rF1 (but not realfeel). Other than that it's the tyre model.
Cheers. Yeah i dialed it in, but i asked for the specific real feel plugin tweaks from rF1 and AMS. Since it came from rF1 i thought it was in rF2. You kind of snarkly asked how i could have missed the standard FFB settings which i already set the minute i installed the sim.
