I did some investigation about the RAM usage regarding AI`s. Honestly...i`m not 100% sure, if this was changed now, but i guess, the RAM increase for the RAM, by adding AI`s, was in the previous builds a bit lesser? For better reading the increasing by AI: 10 AI 2566 MB 15 AI 3031 MB (+ 465 MB) 20 AI 3501 MB (+ 470 MB) 25 AI 3959 MB (+ 458 MB) 30 AI 4381 MB (+ 422 MB) 35 AI 4716 MB (+ 335 MB) 40 AI 5205 MB (+ 489 MB)
All my tests (hundreds) to find a good ratio performance/quality shows that there is a strong performance issue with AI (and with headlight and rearlight performance). These performance issues impact FPS yes (GPU), but even more the CPU (lags). Thank's for your investigation.
IDK if i'm a lucky boy since i never had any single issue posted in this forum. 50 AI @ Bathurst (some GT3 - mod, some Nissan GT4, some Honda Civic BTCC & some Flat 6) Task manager say 3622mb, so it's accurate.
CPU usage has gone up in recent builds, I've definitely noticed that. Used to be able to run 26 (so a full) V8 Supercar grid with trackhat and crewchief AND record but now I have to ditch one or the other or both to record.
Other test 50 Nissan GTR GT1 @ Nola GP 1080p - Textures, details, opponets etc @ High Anisotropic X16 Shadows Medium Reflection, blur, particles etc @ Medium - Low Only 3gb of Ram used EDIT: 50 Dallara DW12 @ Indianapolis Oval = 3700mb RAM AMD FX 6300 @ 3,8 Ghz - GTX 970 - 8gb RAM - Win 8.1
When you drive with 50 AI you dont get the CPU bar full in a fx series? (testing with the AI driving is only usefull to check fps for online racing)
Note that indeed the test was made only to show the RAM used with this huge amount of AI's as OP, i know that when i drive the CPU load is a lot heavier, i've experienced the "out of real time" issue 2 times: the 1st with 40-50 cars (about 20 were Simtek GT3) and the other with the same mod while i was streaming. 5 minutes and i'll try to drive with one of the combo i posted EDIT: Full purple bar at the start and the 1st corner with 50 Dallara @ Indy, a bit hard to drive lol
Depends on the mod. Can have 30 GTs or so, but v8 Supercars struggle. Noticed you're running at 3.8 while I'm at 3.5 (stock). Might have something to do with it but even then I shouldn't be lagging that much behind.
