I remember that voice! I can't wait for Rally stages and cars in Rf2!

I just hope this plugin is more user friendly than the rF1 version was. That was a nightmare. What'd really be nice is if ISI made a way for pacenotes to be embedded in tracks so that users wouldn't even have to create their own pacenotes- more like RBR than rF1.

today, I have started make LanguagePack. but I am not Native English speaker. I used "Speech synthesis" software. yes. Artificial voice.

that's not cool at all! :(
that would be temporary LanguagePack. I hope that someone will help me to make real human voice:(
    - of course, I have RBR. then I used that for video. but I can't release with that. cause copyright thing. of course! -

    this is temporary "LanguagePack(English)"
    totally, Artificial........ ah!.

funny, very good for the finish.

still hoping, that you teach me how to make a "radio man" plugin, talking to me of my position, warning of incoming cars etc....

Has anyone done your audio yet? Is the project still going ahead?
I am aussie and speak with a pacific accent. (i can)
I've just finished heavy study and I regularly multitrack audio.
    I would love to help.
Just say the word and I'll have the audio completed in one day.
    This would be awesome fun.
If I do this and if you are happy, I will donate my audio as public domain license.
With the proviso of a public mention of my racing name in the documentation when used.
I'm just going to read your request again.
Thank you for the excellent work.
ps: I dont think much of rallying but would love to help and see people have fun.
Must they be .wav files? (no problem doing .wav files, just the total size).
A couple of people here know my voice, I think its ok? o.0 :D

first of all. I am still in here thread. dont worry.
so. about project. now It is stopping.
cause there is no rally track and rally car, yet. I cant test for detail.

as Co-Driver simulator, may be this plugin have 60% functions already.
but for Fun, we need graphic more. like a Richard Burns Rally, Dirt2, etc..

but audio files, we can prepare right now.
if you make audio pack, it will be good. and we need only .wav files.

and license note, dont worry, you can put files on MediaFire or somewhere.
when you put files, just tell me, I will link your file from manual page. :)
you can control your copyrights or readmefile.

native English speaker is good more than computer voice that I made up.

well, when I will admit specifications pacenote, I will ask people about "please help to make pacenote"
I am still thinking about specifications yet.

P.S. by the way, I live in Tokyo. almost same your timezone.
and pacific rally driver and co-driver. I am intrested in them!

    Konnichiwa!
    Alllrrright!
This is great news my Japanese friend Zephyr RU! :)
I still have the time to do this. It is Saturday here and I will make a start preparing for this tomorrow.
I would hope to be finished by mid-week at the latest.
Let's just get this bit done and see how it works out.
Do you want the voice to have a radio type of effect?
I will be using either a Shure SM58 or Logitech headset and can add
very slight radio noise to it if required. (I can adjust the level of static).
It will still be top quality audio.
    CheerZ!

may be not radio voice is good.Shure SM58 is better.
cause if it is clear voice, we can do effect files after recording. :)

    Great job!
I'm interesting in creating some features for rally in rfactor 2 and i need some lessons for plugin. We could talk in pm if you want to work.
I could develop a rally car with a good physics.

    let me know!

    hi mauriz73!

first of all. we need rally course.
for example. one straight, one left , one right and goal.

if you use latest edition, you could see log files.
and you see, "minus" trip meter before start line, lol.

I found this thread because I am interested in coding a sort of automatic pace notes generator for RF1 that makes use of the existing plugin.

I'm a native "American" English speaker also with a semi-pro audio workstation and mic (Audio Technica ATR20) who would be happy to do my part to contribute to the RF1/2 rally community if I can, and of course I'll put the samples in the public domain. Many thanks for your work on this project Zephyr, and for posting the list of needed sound files. Do you have a preferred bit rate, or do you know what project rate RBR voice files are in? I can provide samples in any format from 16 or 24 bit PCM (wav) or 32 bit float, at a bitrate anywhere from 8000 Hz to 96000?

EDIT - Of course I can supply the files in .wav, .ogg, .mp3, .flac, or whatever you think is most useful as well.

And depending on the latency of the plugin (yours and possibly existing one for RF1, etc.) how much air space/time/silence is ideal before and after spoken phrases for combining them in succession, one after another? Example: "easy.wav", "left.wav", "one hundred.wav"?

What a pity that you do not continue in the development of this mod.
    * I hope that once you proceed.

    Merci d'avance
