Racing line disappeared!?

Hey,

I'm new to Rfactor, everything has worked flawlessly for the past couple of weeks but suddenly today I've come to race and the driving line has disappeared and I have no idea why!? (Yes it's set to on in settings)

(I simply do not know the tracks well enough to drive without it at the moment and don't have the time to put the hours in to learn each track before racing obviously once I have a little grasp of most tracks it will be turned off so don't be snobbish.)

Any idea?

Mine still works.
Try a different car. There are some car mods with incorrect glass settings where you can not see the driving line through it.
Also the line is not shown when the AI car is in control of the car.

I thought that But i's been on the daily races today and yesterday regardless of the car.

No racing line at all for some reason!

Also, if it was an online session you were on (not single player) some servers have Driving line disabled. It might just be that?

Funny I thought maybe it was a feature. Happened right after I got my silver SR. Like maybe they don't want you using it in intermediate?

It will be fixed tomorrow according to Dan (IIRC)

IMO this is an aid that offers no advantage. Quite the contrary, anyone relying on it without good reason (and there are few) will not learn the track, and drive the track, as well as they could.

It is helpful for entering and exiting some of the trickier pits if you're on an unfamiliar track. And if I'm really new to a track it can help get a couple quick laps just to remember the layout. But I agree its not good to focus on it. The line definitely shouldn't be allowed during qualifying or racing in any case.

It is allowed, and will continue to be. I don't see that as an issue.

I agree on the various pits and garages, I'd have it available for those myself because some are really confusing
