Hello, any developer of this tool still active in this forum? Anyone knows if they still sell this software? Cheers
Yes; When i open the program, this site open: http://www.race2play.com/front/feed_landing But i thought they went out of business http://simracingpaddock.com/editorial/race2play-closing-doors/ I will try to contact support@virtualracecarengineer.com
Yes sadly they are closed down , Tod left the page up but as you see there are no live links on it .. Tim was on FB not long ago offering the program up again .. I think the support email is still valid ..
Did you wrote to: support@virtualracecarengineer.com? As far as I know he/they are still on the business and developed the app further:http://store.steampowered.com/app/523220/Virtual_Race_Car_Engineer_2017/
Tim told me in reply to my request at support@virtualracecarengineer.com "VRCE has a 2017 version but it is primarily a graphical update that I put out when it was released on Steam in late 2016"
Can you ask him if he will develop, when the new DX11 on-screen render will arrive, an app or plugin for rF2 which allow to use Setup Developer Tool in game while on pits during practice and qualify? (Will be great if can setup car values from there too, not only suggestions) We will pay for this!
Davex, i do not know Tim, i just wrote to him on the off chance of a reply. It would be better if you wrote to him as yet another user who is interested in his product.
I guess that they had time to put this on steam buy never did in order to make this a functional tool. Save your money for better things. This software is not worth it.
Hi Spaskis, i know you have i lot knowlegde on this tech stuff. Did you tried this software or you saying that is not technically possible to it give a good setup?
I think this will not give you the best setup (you need to try and try until you find your setup) but it helps to understand what you are doing...
Bought the setup fu version of it. Tried it and gave some feedback about it. Never again had any news about it. Believe me. It is not worth it. It gives you the same advices that regular setup guides do. They just have been automated and very poorly by the way. Now they change the name of the app trying to fool others before they disappear again. "Master the secrets of race car setup with straight-up questions and answers using the Setup Developer Tool! " http://virtualracecarengineer.com/setup-developer-tool.html?m "Master the art of race car setup with the secrets of Setup Fu." http://www.setupfu.com/products/setup_wizard
Actually, many people did find this a useful tool, I know I always found time using it and still do to this day. Not poorly implemented at all, I could easily use this to refine and improve my setups during a testing session. As for fooling people you are wrong there as well, they produced a couple of versions of the tool over the years, and made it quite clear at the time what each one was and what the evolution of the tool gave.
Hey, guys A gift for all of you https://mega.nz/#!Ng1S0KoI!fXKRvZ8suKE6mr_ArIu3TMjXtfCYOFNTEM9bxF0vOUk Thats a free version that I download on race2play years ago
