Hi, i'm trying to do a skin for a car but in the template there are parts of the model that are over lapping other parts as shown above.

Is there a way to solve that problem without having to redo the entire 3D model ?

Did you check if all these Elements use the WCCARBODY Material (maybe it's only a Mapping Issue, while creating the Template, with 2 Materials being loaded)?

And if yes, can you see the Problem when the Car is using a Skin?

If you can see it, you can try to give the less important overlapping Parts another Material with an own Texture, if you can identify and separate them.

If you can not solve it in the above Ways, you must not redo the entire 3D Model.
You probably will have to edit it a little bit.
But that will affect existing Skins.

@redapg I have checked if those elements uses the WCCARBODY material and yes they all use the same material. The default skin all have that problem too. I'm simply a skinner and i have limited knowledge and skill with 3D modeling, i can create templates for skinning purpose using 3Dsimed and blender so i can have the wireframe of the car and thats about it

It is interesting trying to guess car from UV... you feel me...

....

I think doing quality skins is very difficult overall... Or I just don't know how. You might as well try learning how to get the WCCARBODY sharing objects into, for example blender, and edit the UV map. Might as well do AO bake in case if it is not included in textures.

It is not that difficult most of the times. You'll invest what ? A week at max to learn how to do it.
