I'd like to have a play around with making a car, yes this may well be beyond me , but I'd like to know what software you clever modders use? As I am just going to be having a crack at I don't want to be spending $'s on software, so is there any freebies out there that would enable me to get started? I do use gimp2.8 a lot for artwork, so the painting side of things should be ok. I was looking at Blender, looks pretty good, but do I also need 3d software to first create a car? Sketchup, 3d crafter for example. Any guidance would be great .
