It may look pretty bare at the moment,but many objects are not activated. The Beta version will have sand traps and walls so people can give feed back. As I have said before ,I think I will need help with the AIW file. Once that is done then the update will role out for all tracks.
This looks really exciting . Lakeside is about 10km from my home . I know it well . I would love to do what the locals don't allow anymore and fang a V8SC around there in anger and stir up some trouble.lol
Woo Hoo! Good news is that it is in game. Bad news it is very bare lol. Only T1 textures but all going well. I have run a few mods on it and they all work pretty OK. The track and terrain are one huge mesh. Reason is for adding bumps etc to the track. Once that is done I will separate. The rumbles are too wide. I will trim them down later. Here are some screens from today... Just after some feedback.......I would like to release as is if I can get some help fine tuning the AIW. It is a very early Beta, even Alpha would describe it.... Thoughts?
I and Most others will understand but of coarse there will be some that say this mod is up the shit and all sorts of rubbish .As long as you've got thick skin and are prepared for a bit of crap then please add it to Stream BUT if you think some of the negative crap people are bound to say will effect this (hopefully) great Mod then maybe hold off till its at a further developed state . i would hate to see your vision and goal get crushed by a few TROLLS.
Y Yeah, probably right....I have someone helping with the AIW file. I will get it to a level where people can enjoy it and build on updates from there.
Probably better to release WIP and beta versions here. Wait until it's ready for mass market to go on Steam to avoid the headaches mentioned above.
Mike can't wait for this and lakeside as a local these tracks are special especially lakeside so much history at that track hope u still plan an historic version your work is always top notch thanks for your efforts mate
Yeah , i live in Nanga's and am quite often at Lakeside with my oldest Boy watching the off street drags , really miss the V8SC lapping there . Cant wait to be able to take them there in rF2 and your Track.
Hi guys, Bit of progress. Found lots of errors with terrain elevation around the back of the walls, so that is being fixed. The texture are place holders but getting close to putting the real road, grass and wall textures on. There are bumps on the track, but quite subtle, but feel good. Here are some pics.....
Working on it. Only a one man band so I can only do a bit at a time. Lakeside will look really good I think...
