Lots of changes at the real track as far as sponsors and walls go. It should be very easy to replicate. Working on it this week and hope to have all the walls exported and looking correct. I have a bit more free time now so I really want to get stuck in and get going again. I see that another modder has done QR as well, and this is not a competition, I just want to provide the best i can with my limited skills. Now, and this is totally speculative at this stage.....there may be..MAY BE a chance that both Lakeside and QR will be laser scanned next year (2018). This is something I have dreamed about for nearly 10 years and if things go as I think they are going to go, there could be some very cool things happen in 2018. No promises, but there is a chance that at least Lakeside will get scanned. Until then I will work on the current versions and get then as good as I can.
Starting to work around the track to get the wall sponsors correct. Colours are not good, I am guessing it is to do with DX11. Once I get the sponsors done i will get help with the colour pallet.
If you use the gravel trap shader you will have more control and probably fix your colour. You then use a plain wall diffuse spec and bump textures mapped on channel 1. Now you set up the 2nd diffuse on channel 2 and uv map your sponsors and plain walls. Try and fit them on 1 or 2 texture sheets making sure to set them as albedo.
The pit wall has been rebuilt from scratch. I can now do the correct sponsors and so on. The old one from RF1 was OK for that, but not good enough now. The real wall has been repainted and more hand rails added as well. Flag pole mounts will be scratch built and will look much nicer than before.
Hi guys, Another update...rather big one I think... I have now taken 6 months off work thanks to my bitcoin business. So I am working full time from home. As for the tracks....I can now allocate set times each week to focus on the tracks and get them to a Beta release. Thank goodness.... So updates will be more often and I hope to get the Beta release done ASAP. (before the end of October for QR) Once I get the initial release done I will be needing help to get the 4 track versions done, so I will be asking for AIW work ( I have someone helping already there) and then help on getting the images looking good with DX11. I am sorry for this huge delay but now I am ready to get going. I even have a business coach helping me nut out daily routines and accountability. A side effect of the bitcoin income......laser scanning. 2018, if all goes well, both Lakeside and QR will get laser scanned. That is a 10 year dream for me. I am not sure of the cost...I hope less than $100k for both tracks. I think with the advance in laser scanning the costs have dropped in the last 5 years dramatically. Hi everyone, so good news at last. I have QR ready for Beta testing, just sorting out the package. This is a bare arse track at the moment, mainly because I want it tested and some help with the AIW files. I had to rebuild a lot of the track and getting some things to work were a nightmare. Here are some screen shots of the track. It has come up well and all it needs are the objects to populate it. Once I am happy with the install I will post the link on the first post. So sorry for the delays....but now we are getting somewhere.

I've raced at QLD before in Rf2, but this looks like it'll be more realistic than the version I've already got.
