Just a little WIP.....this road may look insignificant....but is necessary and 2 hours to get in. Now that is done I can blend the textures for that part of the track.
Hey @Mike Cantwell I have been having a dabble on this track over it's new life (love your work). I notice though that the AI, offline in practice, will pull into the pit box but not go back to the garage. After a while the pit row will be full of AI and the track is empty. Is that why they don't refuel (I saw that comment in steam) they can't find their way back to the shed? The game may not recognise that they are actually in the pit? From what I understand you're working on it, just mentioning to give as much info as possible. I've been enjoying it immensely Thank you.
More updates....sorry for the long delay. Lots of little things done and happy with the grass textures etc. I can now start placing trees. I will try to be as accurate as possible with the trees and plants. Here is a little screen grab from the viewer. I have also tried to improve the AI fast line. I did 30 laps of practice with the AI and they are better. QR I am looking at the AIW file again as there are issue with cars not pitting etc.
I have been working on Eastern Loop. They have cleaned up the trees a lot, so it is very clean again. It is hard to get Lakeside exact as they change it monthly it seems. I am pretty happy with how it looks. Next step is getting the little roads done around the track, then the next update released.
Release the next update......the AIW file is still playing up.......so very frustrating. I will try again and see if I can improve. The cars race well enough, pit at the end of the race except for 3. They drive through and do another lap over and over, both Lakeside and QR... Update should happen automatically on steam...
Sorting out the little dirt / grassy roads around the track and getting it looking OK. This is the little access road from the 1960s that is now used to get a great view of the cars at Eastern Loop. I have the blend sorted and happy with it. Next is to start adding trees and bushes
Starting to add the trees around the circuit. Trying to get them at least resembling the real thing.....not that easy lol. Literally placing one tree at a time and matching the textures as best I can. Lots of native and introduced trees at Lakeside.....
Another little update.....more trees and getting them as close as possible to the real thing . I have added the old tree at the exit of The Karrassell. It was there from the beginning and died a few years ago and was cut down. Progressing nicely and once I am happy with the trees I will release the next update
Hi everyone, Just a small (not really...took ages) update to the track with more trees added, the "Lakeside" sign added to the hill, the old water tower redone from scratch, and signs in place but being totally redone soon. The bridge is purely a place holder. I may build a new one from scratch as I think the bridge should be there. More updates over the next 2 weeks and then released as a update on Steam.
I know where im going tonight Are you doing this as a one man or do you secretly have a whole team behind you, lol S397 could use your skills on their official track building team!
Hi everyone, Another quick update. Just a quick update of the trees. 90% of the trees are in place around the track. I will be adding more in the outer area next update. Still on target for next upload Monday 26th.
Hi everyone, For some reason Dev Mode will not start. Un-installed and re-installed and same deal. I click on the icon and there is a blink then nothing. Stays at the start menu. So, I hunted around and found out that some W10 updates mess up the installation. >>>>Fixed it.This may help others. Tim has a post in the forum... https://forum.studio-397.com/index....0-removes-runtimes-after-major-updates.58239/ Reinstalled the vcredist executables in the _CommonRedist folder....They were somehow unistalled via an W10 update maybe??
