Redoing the wall textures and this time they are coming along well. All the glare is gone and colours are nicer. Thanks to Smelly Skidmark for helping with the AIW file. Once I have done the wall sponsor signs and brake markers, I will release V0.02 and see how that goes. Basically now it is adding objects and populating the track.
Hey everyone. I will release V0.03 tomorrow. Thanks to SmellySkidmark for helping with the AIW file. Still having issues with AI car locking brakes into corners etc, but good otherwise. The sponsor signs are nearly 100% done, I have also added brake markers to help. Next will be adding more infield stuff. Here are some photos from tonight.

The control tower was quite good, scratch built from photos and basic measurements I took while at the track. It needs a lot more detailing to bring it up to RF2 standards and i will have clear glass and a basic interior. I am finding that the old RF1 version had actually pretty good objects. It is the images and art work that make it look real. Also the new RF2 DX11 is awesome and makes the track look quite nice.
Just a quick 4 lap qual session. I will do a 20 lap race later. Not too bad but the AI are a bit strange.
Hi Mike, stumbled across this while looking for updates to the QLD Raceway track for Project Cars 2. Do you (or anyone else) know what would be invovled in converting this to a Project Cars 2 track and and is it something you would consider doing? Would also love to drive on Lakeside even if it was just a bare track. ...and is laser scanning still on the cards for 2018? WOuld be pretty amazing if that happened.
I have now updated the tower and the race office. Clear tinted glass and even vertical blinds. New textures from the real building. Next will be the tyre barriers and flag stations on the infield. The start and pit lights are working too. The textures and models will be upgraded now they work.
Any comment re porting this to other games such as Project Cars 2? Assuming it is even possible to port a track from rF2 to PC2, if you weren't able to do this yourself, would you be happy to give the source files to someone else to port across (totally understand if you were to say no).
Busy day. 90% of the infield objects are done. Look good. Next will be adding various grass textures to give it a bit more variation. I will upload 0.05 tonight and then the next project is adding the landscape around the track, much like how Studio 397 have done with Mores. I hope I can get it looking good.

Hi everyone, Just adding details to the buildings. Of course the textures are what make the bid difference. The art side is a learning curve for sure. Starting to look good and things are progressing quite quickly now. I will keep adding as many new objects to the pit area as i can and then do another release. Here are some WIP shots today.
