    damage does play such a big part in real motorsport. I remember the time I was in a formula student team.
    1h driving 2 days repairing (just by driving) :D
    But this is a topic which every sim doesn't do well. iRacing now started with the new damage model which is a step in the right direction.
    That same topic as why the hell gravel traps in sims don't "trap" (like back in GTR2)

    I agree that the damage should play a much more important part in online racing also, which will make some people behave like in a real race, anyway i understand that is not an easy task and will consume some more resources...

    I am NOT saying that YOU drive like an idiot. I am saying that if people drop from 7th to 1st, that is driving like an idiot and would be punished in real life with a failure or a crash. To be honest, I do not drive online for those very reasons. And, with the AI the way it is, I am not really playing much offline either anymore.

    Anyway, hopefully you understand what I said was not directed at you but just the game itself.

    Some of us don't use that driving style in online, knowing that we loose time.
    The new thing is perfect? No. I agree with you. But is better than allowing the gun machine style.

    I tried just one track but no stuttering at all. Maybe it's fixed!

    I have Nvidia RTX 2070 Super and I don't see sttuters with sparks enabled. I'm running on GNU/Linux that converts DX11 calls to the Vulkan API but I think there are more Nvidia users on Windows that don't see the issue. It might be related to other settings.

    They shared a workaround, and I guess they're working to meet the next deadline. I'm pretty sure they'll release a fix when it's ready. I work in software development (not related to S397) and sometimes you have to decide what's more important, fixing the non-breaking bug with a workaround that affects 1% of users or processing the queue of pending work for the next deadline. I'm not saying that those 1% of users aren't important, but there's a 100% of users waiting for other features and bug fixes.

    Yes. To see them you need to set special effects to medium or higher. If you use Pimax, it is better to set "VR Projection Mode":1 in player.json and tick "Compatible with parallel projections" in PiTool. Without the latter the sparks would exist but be broken (looking not like a sparks but long zig-zag lines through the whole FOV).

    yes, that's how I had it, but if they look like flash I'll keep leaving them disabled... I thought I had fixed them, but if they don't look like sparks I'll remove them:(

    They look very good if you tick "Compatible with parallel projections" in PiTool.
