Released Q1 2023 Update and Content Now Available

we dont have hybrid in btcc yet correct ?
i mean all the new hybrid electric motor and such are not fully impemented or some of them are for Formula E ?
i am confused with new electric motor hybrid things someone explain a bit please

I found a problem. rF2 Log Analyzer now lists all GT3 cars as GT3 GT3 and not BMW M4 GT3, ... like before. It probably has to do with all GT3 cars being in one folder now (I guess).

Open wheeler? You want the IndyCar, formula pro, 1966 Eve, etc etc, all in their own group???

I didn't exactly give much though in categories/groups themselves... I was just saying... in general some 'groups' would be good... I think.

So yeah... I might agree... open wheeler group... not such a good idea... unless you go for very wide grouping... like touring, sport car, openwheeler... but I wouldn't go that route myself...

but I'm sure, except for that bad idea, people might have got the overall substance of what I was suggesting... hopefully... they do now :)

Other than that... an endurance group... that, I would like to see... I think...
... maybe with sub-groups... gte and proto...

Yep, that would be it. The menu uses the vehicle's defined classes as a hierarchy, and the logs (or plugins) get either that whole thing or a subset. Always been a bit clumsy the way that works, for display purposes I used to use a class override by "class" and vehicle name but that may not be feasible with custom skins.

@Lazza yes i the hybrid works but no regen etc
just the p2p to activate and make it work must be pressed as along as you need more power
NOT just click once and activate like DRS works
as for regen and motor maps is it for Formula E only ?
it doesnt works on BTCC cars

I think the BTCC works as it should, which isn't about regen etc.

@Coutie @Lazza

I was testing more the ABS feedback of the GT3s today, this is the first time in 7 years racing almost exclusively rFactor2 that I think that s397 went the wrong path.

Tell me if I have a wrong understanding...

As far as I know in real life the ABS feedback only happens on brake pedal, so we can include this effect on the synthetic effects list, like the understeer effect.

Well, the understeer effect makes sense to exists, because 99% of the drivers doesn't have a motion rig, so it helps a ton to understand what the car is doing, and it was always an important factor that makes de rF2 FFB better than other sims.

But this ABS effect doesn't help, we already know when the wheel is locking, the FFB gives this info very well, we don't need to know when the ABS is engaging on steering, feels like it's alerting you to not use the ABS in cars that were designed to run under ABS.

I honestly think that it has a potential effect of harming the rF2 reputation of best FFB, I can see people switching to others sims for GT3s

I'm not involved in any way, but I think the "ABS effect" is the forces coming through from the tyres as they slip and grip while ABS does its thing. I have always assumed that's been the case where ABS causes strong FFB reactions.

I agree if it's very strong it's probably not something people will like, happily it seems for a number of cars people are happy with the feeling.

Probably already mentioned.
Making rfmod the Radical_SR3-RSX_2017 v2.02 has no skins to package.
All cars and tracks is normal.

Ah just noticed installed folder is 2.02(1) so deleted, ran rF2, made rfmod, all okay.

It works. You can see battery charge on the dash and how when you brake, you get some regen and how is going down when you use P2P button. But you don't have maps. Maybe maps are for Formula E or future Hypercars

@Miquel Ramos battery charge on BTCC ?.....didnt notice that....but the p2p only last 15 seconds per lap why the BTC car need recharge ?
anyways mate thanks for info i didnt notice that and i m sure the whole hybrid physics is a part of developing and we gonna see more at next patch
its not finished yet i m sure

Personally, I like the ffb ABS effect however, there are at least a couple of cars where it is a bit too strong, imo (Porsche GT3 / Radical RCX Turbo). Still, I respect that others feel differently and prefer to have the choice to disable or reduce the strength of the ABS effect on ffb.

Also: Please S397, can you add the option for per-car FFB strength by key / button / encoder? Pretty Please? :)
