Just want to ask what's the purpose of having multiple versions of a car or track, stored locally?
    ex.)
    Imola_2001_v1.06.rfcmp and
    Imola_2001_v1.07.rfcmp?

When are the older ones used? Can't I just delete them?

No, both must be kept. Theses are S397 files that have encryption..
The lower number file (say v1.1) is the encrypted data.
The higher numbered one(say 1.2) is for data they don't have to encrypt and "trust" us not to stuff around with it.
It should always be the value of 1 difference.

More generally, when the higher version is an upgrade it doesn't replace all the files of the lower, so the game needs both versions to have all required information.
