[REL] Proracing Dashboards and In-game widgets

Hi dude, I have updated the web app with your above suggestion. Please try it out when you get some time and let me know if it works for you.

Thanks!

Yep, page now opens in "full screen" on my Android tablet. Status bar still available though.... almost full screen :) Found a W3C-link (when you have the time) - https://w3c.github.io/manifest/#display-modes (the use of a manifest file).

But today I get no data at all :( No widget is showing any data. Don't have the time to investigate though...

Cool, will check the manifest file tomorrow. Hmm...not sure why the widgets are not working but I also re-uploaded the install file as had a little bug. So maybe you can uninstall everything and make sure all files are remove and re download.

Thanks!

Stefan,

Some widgets that might be interesting:

- a session timer / lap counter
- session status (red, green, full course yellow)
- Flags. (blue, local yellow, pit closed, white flag, black flag, finish flag, ... )
- penalties with laps to serve the penalty
- weather status
- pedal, steering, FFB overlay

With the things you already have (live timing, track map, tire status, etc ...) This tool might be interesting for team members, managers, spotters, "engineers" when they aren't on the server.

And it might be an alternative broadcast overlay too. ;)

Is just a flag image enough like this or better put some text as well?

Added the manifest file with the configuration and also and icon so now if you save to home page you'll get an icon "RacingPro Dash" and it will open in landscape.

Thanks and let me know how it goes ;)

Yepp. It looks nice now, as far as I can see. :o And telemetry is pushed to my standalone tablet - I can though see it stops once in the while. Could be that my tablet is crappy, or could there be some issues in the plugin during session switches, etc. ??? (I need to verify this better).

This is a very, very interesting project, compared to more established dedicated phone apps available there. Keep up the good work :o

Don't know if it was suggested or not, but the main application should most probably be able to be located on a separate machine, to be able to show those widgets natively on that remote machine. Just let the user enter a host name/ip address where the game machine is located for the plugin info. Of course the plugin (must be trusted by the local firewall to be able to send its telemetry to a remote machine... or is it the other way around?)

Between session switches, the plugin stops sending data for a few seconds so it makes sense if you seen it stopping between sessions. Otherwise will need to check :)

One does not really need to view the widgets natively on another pc as everything can still be seen from the web app. All you have to do is port forwarding to your external IP and use the external IP on the remote pc. Is this what you need or I'm missing the point?

This weekend I'm releasing a new update. Lots of bug fixes, added more widgets and a more advanced custom dashboard creation (set background image, choose back/front colors etc). Also added Assetto Corsa.

Thanks for images....so two things:

1. Did you copy the files in folder rFactor1_GSC into your GSC plugins folder?
2. If yes, did you do this BEFORE you opened GSC game?

If yes to all above, click on the button "Open Dashboards" and see if anything works there. if it does, then click on the refresh button on the widget.

Then it could be that port 6770 is blocked in firewall. What do you see in the browser when you choose one of the dashboards?

TCP and UDP port 6770 are open and firewall disable.
GSC and rFactor1 and Rfactor , Nothing work.

I'm out of ideas now... not sure why it's not working. Feel free to send me a teamviewer session if you want me to check it out on your pc.

Cheers

Hi Fellas,

Just wanted to give you a quick update. Next release should be out this weekend and with it comes the upgraded Custom Dashboard created where you can;

1. Set your own background and foreground colors.
2. Set a background image of your liking.

Here's a quick example that I made (just got a quick background image from the net to test)
