I was having a time trial on the nurburgring. After you complete the first lap a comparison meter at the top of the screen that displays your status against your best lap shows up. You know the one that becomes blue if you are faster or red if you are slow; with the difference shown in seconds. For the first time I have experienced this counter to become inactive. It works fine when the lap starts but as soon as I reach the zone at the end of the pit exit it becomes invalid and displays 9,999 in red. This has happened multiple times. I just can't get the comparison meter working. I suppose this is a bug. I posted this thread in Steam forum also and someone else said the same thing happened to him too. I hope the developers do something abaut this.
Yes, it's a bug. There is a workaround though. If you post a better lap time in the following lap it'll get back to normal. It has to be a better time, otherwise it won't work. You can drive the first lap slower than usual, and post better time in the next. It should be ok for the rest of the session from that point. I have to do it every time I start new sessions, it sucks but at least the workaround works every time.
There is Time Trial in rF2? Dont Think i ever seen it. Practice, Qualy and Race is all ive ever seen.
It has been a known issue for a while and through trial and error it has been found that a better time fixes it as @Ami_M3 noted.
