VMXSync 2.042 beta Evo 5 Download & try me: http://vortex-motorsports.de/downloads/vmxsync/VMXSync2042BetaEvo5.rar The provided test client overcomes a major problem WinSCP could not provide as required: A sync based on an optional checksum control mechanism. As a second highlight the new sync implements extended logging for major operations and errors along with a log file history. ### HOW TO TEST ### - Create a NEW folder on your system e.g.: C:\Games\rFactor1 VMXSync Test. - Download the test client into the new created local folder. - Extract the test client into the new created local folder. - Start the test client by executing the local file VMXSync.exe. - Delete and/or change and/or add files and/or folders after the initial sync is completed, to see/check how the sync behaves. ### CHANGES IN 2.035 ### Added parameter <CompareMode>DTFS</CompareMode> to the remote configuration file. Mode how the decision is made whether a file is synced/updated or not. Default: DTFS Valid values: DTFS (= Compared by Date Time & File Size - Faster but less secure), HASH (= Compared by Checksum - slower but more secure) ### CHANGES IN 2.042 ### Remote control file VMXSync.files has been changed from WINDOWS-1252 encoding to UTF-8 encoding. Fixed XML encoding for '&' to '&' in remote control file VMXSync.files. modified= date layout ("yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss") of Remote control file VMXSync.files has been changed to meet DateTime format for different cultures. ### Things that haven't changed ### - Full control over your sync-environment. - Server-Part: A FTP-Server of your choice. - Free of charge. ... more to come soon. Cheers Frank PS: The test client is based on a rFactor1 1.255F Lite version from rfactorcentral.com. Note: If you are interested in a fully operational client/server package, please sent me a PM or reply to this thread.
Thanks again to Frank for the support! Works really well and is a nice alternative for those who are fed-up with ISI's mod-manager.
VMXSync 2.042 beta Evo 5 has been released. See first post for download link. Thanx Daniel for keeping me updated!
Hi Dany, it could, but right now original rF2 content is pretty much static. On the other hand if you are running already "a lot of" extra content presented by some rF2-Modding-Groups it might do the trick for you guys ... Cheers Frank
