    lol you misunderstand.

These are two separate things: The giveaway and the race event have nothing to do with each other.

The giveaway is Friday. The race event is whenever the beta is released (TBA).

I assume the beta will be out before Friday because RD never has giveaways on the day of release. They usually wait a few days.

On Facebook Tim says : "So no, not able to give a date yet. Definitely not within the next couple of days."

So thursday i guess... I expected the release today (tuesday), damn.

So they didn't want to release it before christmas because they didn't want work during holidays.
So what? Holidays got longer for them or what?

They never planned to release opena beta in early January. It's obvious.

They had to somehow calm down the people for the holidays time and that's all.

No, they needed to complete testing it before release. Even assuming some beta testers tested over the holidays then there will need to be a review of any issues and decisions to be made on what needs fixing and what can wait. For many of us it is our first day back today, so I certainly wouldn't expect a release immediately on return.

So why they write about release in early January?
They could write release beta in late January, and there would be no problem.

I think most of us have patience.
I think it's just unfair to the community to say: "hey, we are basically ready, we could release it, but we don't want to do it before christmas, so the guys have free holidays".
And then after the holidays they're like: "we won't release it next couple of days".

FFS, if you were ready then release it, if you weren't then don't lie about it.

    *shakes head*

Geez I hope ISI are keeping track of posters like that and than banning IP/emails from sign up to accounts for the first week or two or BETA....that would just crack me right up :)

Not only does early January mean anytime up to the 15th of January (well it does to me anyway) but they havnt lied at all.

Its attitudes and responses like that which I believe have made ISI not give us a fixed date at all, they havnt promised anything, yet it was infered that way...imagine if they had a release date and broke it .....you guys would be even more unbearable.

I think we need a Gjon 51% estimation of how the beta will be released before the end of this week lmao

    So don't read.
Any one has rights to write own comment, since it is public forum, until comment is polite.

Indeed they did it once, so?

Community responses on ISI's PR behaviour. It's obvious. You shouldn't be surprised. I'm sure they are not.
