I just tested it and it seems the file name for the dds-file has to be "NGTR_02alt1.dds" for the first skin, "NGTR_02alt2.dds" for the second and so on. The number two car has already an alternate skin (NGTR_02.alt).
You can call it what you like as long as it's 7 or less letters long and has ALT somewhere in the file name.
Here are 7 colour variations for the Skippy. Simple enough that you can run against the standard cars without standing out too much. 1)Black 2)Green/Yellow 3)Orange/Black 4)Purple 5)Red/Black 6)White/Blue 7)Yellow/Blue An example - To install, just extract the folder from the zip and place the entire SKIPBARBER_99 folder in \Documents\rFactor2\UserData\player\Settings\ISI_SkipBarber_2012 LINK - http://www.mediafire.com/?56i4ob14m6o3c62
Thank you guys. Know it works. But it seems that there are some problems with different windshields for several cars. So if you have an alternate windshield it is used for all other skins.
Twista After your screenshot I see a problem is car number. orange and black car has 2 different number, number 74 and 59. Otherwise congratulations for the work!
Few skins clio, I are not the DDS on this computer but I'll post again later! Team Diac renault Team ELF renault original
Twista... I downloaded your Skippy skins and installed as instructed but nothing is showing up in sim. Can`t find them anywhere...
I did... I did this: To install, just extract the folder from the zip and place the entire SKIPBARBER_99 folder in \Documents\rFactor2\UserData\player\Settings\ISI_S kipBarber_2012 I had to make the "ISI_SkipBarber_2012" folder in Settings though as I never had one in there. Just to check... is it the SKIPBARBER_99 folder that goes into the ISI_SkipBarber_2012 folder or the contents (ie all the files) of the SKIPBARBER_99 that go in there?
The SKIPBARBER_99 and its included components. And then you should be able to go to Car #99 and selct the alternate skins in the tuning menu.
