I copied the file in the folder like any other skins but they dont show up ingame. Would be nice if someone can help me.
I`m finding some strange happenings with the skins this last few builds... some install with out any problems at all, others don`t work, so names are changed etc as suggested and that used to work but that doesn`t work either now... No matter what I do, some skins just don`t want to show up in game. Iirc, I had trouble with the same skins your having trouble with too AK...
After copying them to their destination folder you still need to rename them. The filename needs to contain "ALT" before the .dds. There is also a maximum filename length. When in doubt, try just naming one ALT.dds and see if that one shows up. I packed the skins up in a way in which you could use them as their own cars. As I couldn't predict which car you'd like to use them on, naming them with some ALT in the name seems futile.
Been a while since I released something, but here's one of my favourite liveries I've created. It's for the URD C6. A fictional TUDOR C6R sponsored by Breitling Watches. I hope you like it as much as I do! LINK
Great looking skin Twista! A pity there's not so many Corvettes available as it's quite a beautiful car. I'm looking at painting some skins from the ADAC GT Masters, to fill the grid with more Corvettes...
New Venom skin for the URD mod, the #117 from the Dutch Supercar Challenge. There aren't many Vipers in the real world so I thought I'd add it. The more the merrier. Download link Screenshot:
Guys quick question, if I pack a dds skin into a .mas file in settings/track/car will it be usable online? i.e. others have the same file and we see the same skin. (I reckon .mas skin transfer will not work)
Hm, what are you trying to do exactly? I only package skins into a .mas file when I want them to be usable offline as separate cars (i.e. by the AI). To do that I have to create an update to the base mod. If I install the update, the mod is a different version than the one used online, so there will be mismatched until I uninstall my added cars. Is there another scenario where you'd package the skins into a .mas file?
