    A good template is a very important took for skinning, especially with nice shading and high resolution. I only use photoshop for fun but I can roll out nice texturing work thanks to templates done by the authors (such as something they'd have created themselves to make their lives easier when painting).

    I agree with D.Painter on this... your comment was a little rash imo. I`m new to skinning and still have lots to learn regarding it so instead of just complaining about us "people" it would have been far more useful to explain what you actually mean so us that don`t know or understand can be enlightened...

    Woah I really didn't mean to offend you guys I really didn't. I would have told you guys how to do it but I have never made a skin for rf2. The only way I know how to make it easily would be to paint in the AO by hand, just make a layer and paint the shading in manually then use overlay to get it to work with the rest of your skin. Anyway I truly am sorry for hurting your feelings, and just to be clear I do in fact appreciate the skins you have made very much. I hope there's no more hard feelings and i look forward to what you make in the future.

    There`s no hard feelings or offence (or hurt feelings) o0... and I`m glad you appreciate the skins.

    I simply thought your post was a bit rash and didn`t take into account some peoples (namely mine :p) skinning experience, or lack of...

    Do you mean baked maps? if yes, yes, but it takes some time to reach that step, and the template provided must have it, if not, you need the 3d model to baked it, btw, at this stage all graphics engines must can do an AO by hardware.

    We could form a team of painters and create a f1 2013 skinpack for mod marussia. I am a bad painter but I offer to package it.

    Has anybody tried doing a new skin and putting it in b300 yet?

    My skins done before b300 work fine in b300 but I`ve just done a test skin for the Spark F2 and cannot get it to show up in sim at all...

    :confused:

    I`ve created the directory myself and also let rf2 create it, no show either way.

    Directory:

    ISI_Spark_Vehicle

    Folder:

    SPARKF2_23

    File:

    SPARKF2_23alt (I`ve tried the "alt" in lower case and in caps)

    Have I just overlooked something simple here or are skins just not working somehow in b300?

    Ok... it must have been a character length problem as I changed the dds file name from SPARKF2_23alt to tjc_23alt to test and it now shows up in sim...

    I can`t think of anything else that`s caused this to not work with the SparkF2 naming other than character length...

    Try simple names without "_" like 000alt, 888alt, tjcalt, 000alt always work :)
