Plan at the moment is a small pack to add on to Brototypes brilliant IMSA mod... focus is 2019 Its not a caddy but looks great anyway
...and any chance there will be the 2017 and 2018 skins after as the 2018 skins in the RSS mod was 2k then the modders got rid of it
2021 IMSA Oreca 07 #52 1PR/Mathiasen Motorsports almost done but having trouble getting the window 100% white. Get it at Racedepartment here, only v.0.9 because of the window: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/s397-oreca-07-2021-imsa-52-pr1-mathiasen-motorsports.38684/
Yeah it's really difficult to get the windows the correct colour, I've never really got it right. It varies with the light direction, time of day and camera view. Have a go at playing around with the opacity of the layer, it some times helps.
The gimp DDS plugin is not good at exporting with transparency. That's why I use another tool for this and normally it works but today it just wouldn't do it right. Asked @bears to help me with his Photoshop, maybe it works better. Else it must be the source file which is messing with me.
S397 McLaren Senna GTR (2-skins). These are my McLaren Senna GTR skins updated to the new UI with icons. The rar file has just one file for both skins this time. If you already have any installed as virtual skins, uninstall before installing this mas file. Do not have both installed. Enjoy. https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/s397-mclaren-senna-gtr-2-skins.38814/
Damage Report My first skin with photoshop \o/ Mostly Sponsors and Logos left (+ some cosmetic details) I'm quit happy with it although I'm not a big fan creating real life skins for cars which don't fit. Obvisously the skin itself doesn't work as if it would be the AMG Evo Model. I find that some lines are quit jaggy (for example the black on the white background) and I don't know if it's the skin itself, or some settings in PS. Plus I just see that I didn't use my "fancy screenshot" graphic settings
S397 BMW M2 CS (BP-Sport). This is my BMW M2 CS skin updated to the new UI with icons. The rar file has just one mas file this time. If you already have it installed as a virtual skin, uninstall before installing this mas file. Do not have both installed. Enjoy. https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/s397-bmw-m2-cs-bp-sport.38892/
Just a little test run at Kyalami. Still need to fix the window and might give it more lighter "limegreen"
Enduracers Alpine A110 GT4 Fantasy skin #68 Vallentin Racing Also added two extra colors download at racedepartment: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/enduracers-alpine-a110-gt4-68-vallentin-racing.38956/
GoodSmile Racing 2020 https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/goodsmile-racing-2020.39021/ I'm happy how it turned out. I just don't know why it has these jagged lines. I have "smoothing" active in Photoshop. Or is it some skin limitaion? But for exmaple other mods have really smooth lines no matter the angle or color. Also I don't know why the mirror arms are bugged for me They just don't want to be painted
In photoshop there is a pen tool which you can create shapes with as many points as you like. Place mouse pointer to where you want the shape to start press left mouse button, release, move pointer to next point of your shape, press mouse button, release button, do this as many times as required to create your shape, make sure you finish on the point you started at to close the shape. This creates a layer automatically which you can go back to at any time. You can edit the shape by clicking on any point in the shape and move it around until you are satisfied with you shape. Using the pen tool creates straight lines without any jaggedness. No need for smoothing. Experiment with the pen tool, you will soon get the hang of it. It's a very versatile tool to get the hang of. This is the main tool I use for skin painting. Hope you can make sense of this.
Thank you, will try and also read some more Photoshop manuals. Still have to learn how to do quality skins
