Agree. I think it's naming issue.

Make sure the drivers name "Jaxon Evans" is spelt correctly in the rcd ini file.

i did that to start the skin. is there a idiots guide to skinning in RF2 anywhere moreso the file side i guess.
 
i would pay 5 bucks for an idiots guide for preparing skins as a downloadable file... ;-)
please dont do this via PM ... please take any existing skin thread... i think there are more people with problems... when you download at RD you've get X different sorts of packages...its annoying for everybody

At this time I had no problems to share any skins. What you need is to include the *.rcd file into your zip/rar file. And please rename it from e.g. "1.rcd" to "your skin.rcd". If people have already a "1.rcd" (automatically created) this file would be overwritten.
 
ok i got this far....
worked out how to have an alternate livery. (one with Michelin & one with Pirelli stickers)
all worked whilst sitting under the car i first made a DIR with.
when i made the CAR/DRIVER i now only have one skin in that team ??? why not the two that were there when i made the NEW CAR/DRIVER FROM CURRENT ?

at least i see the .rcd you mentioned now :)

so how do i get the two skins under the one CAR/DRIVER

EDIT: I manually copied the other skins files into the NEW car and it now has two skins... but only 1 MAS file. Is this now ready to zip up with the renamed .rcd ?

EDIT 2: and now one of them decides to stop using the window file.

For that, I actually load it in the track. It is a PITA to do it that way at it takes so long to load. That gives a few more camera options than the showroom has.I posted that as a suggestion as the showroom is now the official confirmation on how the S397 to allow you to view cars ingame, that they need to update the camera system to allow for extra zooming in, panning and light changes. Hopefully they will change that.

I guess that should be the cause of your problem with the IceBreak_B12H livery :)

Edit: Ah, Frank already told you to leave out the _, I just saw that. I didn't notice it because I was looking for someone mentioning that 12 char limit.
 
@philmcqueen I love your livery overview, it's a great addition. But as a passionate painter (not yet for rFactor 2), can you maybe consider linking to the RD page of a livery instead of re-uploading it?

From a painter's point of view, I'd prefer that by a mile. With RD you can a) keep track of your statistics (number of downloads, comments) and b) easier handle updates/version control - not sure if the notification for the user is default setting, but usually I get a notification when a resource I downloaded earlier is uploaded.

On the other hand, you're quality assurance (same name mismatches) is also a great benefit for the user.

Thanks, i can work on that to link directly to RD , but mismatches will have like i had testing all liveries.
I´ll could maybe make a full "no mismatches" package and put individual link to RD.....
Or i will find a different way... ;)
 
...another one is ready. It took over two days to finish this Benz. I start to hate this AMG GT3 Template... ;)

I know though it's a rip but would be nice if somebody gone done what they did to Mak's Group C 1991 mods, fixed the Simtek/STK GT3 mods (excluding what's being offered by S397) to the current standards

I did a few minor changes to the Lambo and Ferrari but I don't know the 3d-Shader and physics parts to do the new S397 implementations. I am hoping that some one would be able to convert Trebie's Lexus as that one is scratch made. I'm not 100% sure if his NSX is 100% scratch, but I know he did put a lot of work into it.
